Reference: I Timothy 4:1-2
Reading these scriptures in Timothy, Paulmakes mention of the latter times, or we could say latter days. Paul alsostates in II Timothy 3:1, that, in the last days, perilous times shall come. If youcan't see perilous times in the days we're living in now, Satan has surely gotyou blinded. A carnal minded person is so wrapped up in sin, and of this worldso deep, he'll never see these perilous times as being what the Bible speaksabout. Look at this sin-sick world today. It makes you wonder how God can standmuch more of it. Where's the shame in people today? There isn't any. Satan hastaken their minds completely over, making them reprobates, and corrupt in all things.Men shall be lovers of their own selves. Coveteous, boasters, proud,blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without naturalaffection, trucebreakers, false-accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers ofthose that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures, morethan lovers of God. Just name it, and they're doing it. As it was in the daysof Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man. Now, we doknow, that Noah was a preacher of righteousness, a man of God. Look how hewarned the people of the flood. What did they do? They laughed, and mocked him.Just exactly what they're doing today. Laughing, and making fun of what saiththe Lord. When He warns us in His word about these perilous times, you might say,"God won't destroy me." That's where you're wrong friend! As it wasin the day's of Noah, it's going to be the same, as it was then. God's going todestroy all the ungodly! How many souls were saved in those days?? Onlyeight! This world is gone! You might say, "Things will get better in thefuture." I can't see too much future left. God's getting His people readyfor the big flight.
Don't you want to be in this flight, and hear God's voicecry out, "Enter in, thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast beenfaithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thouinto the joy of thy Lord." Remember the ten virgins. Five were foolish,five were wise. Don't be the foolish. Get out of your sleep! Wake up! The Lordwill come in a day when you're not even looking for Him. Don't be left behindfriend. Get in the ark, or get in the Word! Jesus is the Word. The daysin which we now live are getting so bad, you couldn't wake people out of theirsleep, even if the atomic bomb was being dropped. Why? Their hearts have beenhardened. They've refused and rejected God's word, so He turned them over to areprobate mind. I feel sorry for this sin-sick world. They're having their fun,as they call it, but all this is coming to an end, and what an end it's goingto be! Satan's standing back laughing, "Hee, hee, hee, come unto me, yeworkers of iniquity, I will give you rest (all the rest of eternity in hell)where the worm dieth not, and fire is not quenched." How important is theword of God to you? Don't you think it's time to be finding out? Ninety percentof the people don't even realize and understand that the only hope, and way outof this sinful, corrupted, damnable, polluted world we're living in, is to relyon, and put all our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 9:47 tells us:"He that is of God heareth God's words, ye therefore hear them not,because ye are not of God."
Look at your so-called professingChristians today. Calling themselves true born again saints of God. They'rejust taking their own damnable way, like the Bible makes mention of. Also, Proverbs 14:12 states:"There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are theways of death." Don't be a double-minded man or woman, unstable in God'sword. Don't be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine that's beingpreached throughout the land. Don't be on one side of the fence one day, and onthe other side the next day. Don't be tricked by Satan and his evil devices.But be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Awake to righteousness and sin not,for some have not the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame. This worldis asleep. Their eyes have been darkened by Satan. The Bible tells us to castoff the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light, which is truth,God's word. Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in chambering andwantoness. Not in strife and envying. But put on the whole armour of God, whichis the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus also states that: Man shall not live by breadalone, but by every word of God. The biggest majority of the peopletoday, will pick out scriptures in the Bible just to suit themselves. They onlywant to hear something, or read something, that will tickle their little ears.This type of people only has self-righteousness, not God's righteousness.They're only justifying themselves. To be in Christ is more than justprofessing, or confessing. The biggest part of the church world today are alsoprofessing they are in Christ. They are IN alright. In-doctrinated away fromChrist. My Bible tells me, that to be in Christ we are new creatures.Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. Are the oldthings become new, (Christ living in you?) Has your mind been transformed, orrenewed? Renewed by the word of God? Are you sure you've taken on the LordJesus Christ? Can you say, "I'm walking in the footsteps of Jesus?"Can you honestly say, "I'm rooted and built up in Him. Stedfast,unmoveable, and stablished in the faith?" Can you say your affections areon the things above, and not the things on earth? Jesus is coming back after aChurch. There's going to be a Church taken in the rapture. You are the Church.He's not referring to a church building, with walls and a foundation made byman. He's coming after a church (His Church) without spot or wrinkle. The doersof the word will be caught up in the rapture. If you be a hearer of the word,and not a doer of the word, this will not justify you in the least bit. Onlythe pure in heart will see God. If you love God, you'll keep Hiscommandments.
