Reference: Luke 17:26-30, and Matthew 24:12-14
If you will go to the sixth chapter of the book of Genesis, you will find what conditions existed in the days of Noahjust before the flood came upon this earth. You will find God's word sayingthat the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imaginationof the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
God's word also says that the earth wascorrupt and all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Now friend, if you have not been blindedin your mind by some false prophet then you will have to admit to the fact thattoday's condition is exactly the same as it was in Noah's day.
I want you to know my friend, that God didnot bring destruction upon the earth in Noah and of Lot's day without a warningof what was going to happen. Noah warned the people for about the space of ahundred years of the oncoming destruction of the flood waters. Peter tells usin his epistle that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. (II Peter 2:5) This lets usknow that Noah preached a message that would have prepared the people and placethem in a righteous standing with God so that they could escape the wrath ofGod.
Since the word of God tells us that onlyNoah and his family was saved from the flood then this proves that the peopleof Noah's day did not believe the message that Noah was proclaiming. Theirunbelief caused them to be destroyed in the flood waters.
The people in the city of Sodom did notheed the warning from Lot and so they also perished along with the city.
Now Jesus said that the same thing willtake place in the day when the Son of man will be revealed. These days are thedays when the true word of God will be manifested once again just before thecoming of Christ will take place.
The Son of man is of course referring toChrist. If you read the scriptures close enough you will find out that Christis the true revealed word of God that the gospel reveals. This reveals to usthat the revealing of the Son of man is the revealing of truth in these lastdays that Jesus spoke about.
As this revealed truth begins to be madeknown the religious world will not accept it as being the true revealed word ofGod. They will think this because it will be contrary to the teaching found intoday's nominal churches. This revealed truth of the gospel will not beaccepted by the greatest majority of people today and thus prove the fact thatJesus was right in what he said about the same conditions existing in the daysof the coming of the Son of man.
Do you believe my friend, that we are nowliving in the very days that the true revealed word of God is now begining tobe made known? This truth that is beginning to be published is the gospel ofthe kingdom that will be preached in all the world for a witness unto allnations, and then the end shall come, as Jesus stated in Matthew 24 and verse fourteen.
This truth will be so contrary to theteachings of the religious world that they will not only reject it, but theywill also blaspheme and speak evil against it. The people in Noah's day nodoubt blasphemed what Noah was proclaiming, and the same thing will be donewith this last day revealing of the true inspired word of God that the Bibletruly reveals.
The apostle Peter tells us in his secondepistle that there were false prophets also among the people, even as thereshall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnableheresies, even denying the Lord that brough them, and bring upon themslevesswift destruction.
This is exactly what has happened all downthrough the ages of time since the apostles had disappeared from the scene inearly Bible days. The false prophets that Peter spoke about that was among thepeople were the false teachers in Noah's day that had misled the people andcausing them to disbelieve the message of Noah. I want you to know that Jesussaid that many false prophets would rise in the last days and they woulddeceive many. These false prophets have caused many to follow them thinkingthey were of God and proclaiming truth. Today we have many hundreds ofdifferent denominational organizations in existence with each one declaringtheir own version as to what truth is. These organizations are all in error,but this truth will not be accepted but by a very few people today. I believe thatonly the true sheep of God will hear this last day message of truth and preparethemsleves for the soon return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Very few people today will accept andbelieve this last day truth because of the fact that most people have beenindoctrinated with another teaching thinking they are being taught the truth ofGod's word. Only the truly sincere person will have enough determination towant to know what truth is and what truth is not. If you are not sincere withGod then Satan will devour you like a lion devours his prey. The Bible tells usthat Satan is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Believe you me,he is devouring many with his false doctrines that are being proclaimed todaybehind the pulpits of the churches today.
Friend, if you fail to believe this lastday teaching of God's word then you better have a solid rock excuse as to whyyou do not. We are living under the same condition as did the people in Noah'stime. The people would not believe Noah and so they casually went on theirmerry way only to be destroyed. Look at the people today and watch where theirhearts are mostly being interested in. People today are too busy to see wherethey are going. Satan has very much suceeded in his getting people uninterestedin God's word of the Bible. Everybody who confesses to be born again childrenof God are sleeping in Satan's cradle thinking that they are truly born againand ready for heaven, but the truth of the matter is that Satan has this entireworld held captive to his perverted gospels that his ministers are proclaiming.To become a born again child of God is a process that takes time and isaccomplished by walking in the word of God.
