Scripture References: Luke 17:26

It’s plain to see that Jesus is telling us that as it was in the days of Noah it will be the same just before Christ returns to this earth. One of the things that stands out from other things that were happening is the fact that Noah was building an ark for the saving of himself and his family along with all the animals that were in the ark. God gave to Noah the plan as to how to build the ark and how big the ark was to be built, and so if we typify this event to the last days, then we can understand that there will be a plan revealed that will save a certain amount of people for Christ’s return. Paul tells us these words as stated in Ephesians 5:25-27 saying, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” The plan that will prepare a people that will be alive when Christ returns will of course be the many truths taught and revealed in the NT scriptures of Gods holy word. This redemption plan has been recorded in these scriptures ever since the first century when Christ had began to reveal it to his early disciples. But as time continued on, the truth of these scriptures began to be hidden from the mind of mankind, but since we know that there will be a prepared people in the last days, then it stands to reason that once again the truths of Gods word will once again be revealed. It will of course be these truths that will in time spiritually conform a certain amount of people in Christ for Christ’s return.

We are told in Gods word that it was the baptism of John that was preached to prepare a people for Christ’s first coming to this earth. So the people that will be prepared for the second coming of Christ will be those who believed and obeyed the revealed truths taught and revealed in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It was Jesus that said these words stated in Matthew 24;14 that says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” The preaching of this gospel will not only be preached as a final warning just before Christ appears, but it will also be preached to prepare a people for his return and will make up that church that Paul speaks of in Ephesians 5:27. Where on the face of this earth is a people that fits the description of the church that Paul tells us about that will be a glorious church without spot, wrinkle, or any such thing, but that it will be holy and without blemish? These people will possess what Paul calls “the testimony of Jesus” which is an overcoming testimony of sin, self, Satan, the world, and the many false prophets doctrines. A person can only be in one of two positions, which is either in sin or in Christ where there is no sin. It was John that tells us these words in I John 3:5 that says, “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.”

To be “in Christ” means to be in the one true church, which is his spiritual body that is made up of individual members. Each member of the body of Christ has been conformed to the very image and likeness of Christ. In other words each member will be like Christ in so far as Christ’s righteousness is concerned. It was the apostle John again that tells us these words concerning this as stated in I John 3:7 that says, “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” This truth is not accepted and believed by today’s confessing Christian world simply because they still live in and commit sin against God and they of course know it. When Noah was building the ark for the saving of himself and his family there were nobody else that helped Noah to build the ark proving that nobody else believed what Noah was telling them about the oncoming destruction of the flood. But when the flood came the only safe place to be was in that ark and everybody outside of the ark perished. The same will be true when Christ returns for his church. The only safe place will be in Christ and all those who are yet in their sin will suffer the consequences of the second death in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. In Christ is what the last days ark is that will save those who either died in Christ and those who will be alive in Christ at his coming. Multiplied millions of people are claiming to be saved or born again in these last days that we are now living in and have been for a good number of years, but listen to them still confess to be sinners and still live in sin. They definitely are not in Christ where there is no sin, but nevertheless they still confess to be saved. So what about you friend are you still in bondage to sin and claim to be born of God or saved in your sin? Why would God save anyone in their sin when it’s sin that keeps man separated from God? Was it not sin that separated Adam from God in the garden? And was it not Christ that came to save us from sin? He did not come to save us and leave sin within us, but rather he came to take away our sin so that we can have perfect fellowship back with God, but if you want to continuing believing you are saved in your sin and will be taken with Christ when he returns, then so be it. “He that has an ear to hear let him hear what the Spirit is aying to the churches.”
