Scripture References: 2 Thessalonians 2:13

Is it not crystal clear to see and understand that God has chosen us to salvation his way? And what is his way? Does not the apostle Paul make it clear that Gods way is through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth? Do you know what this truth is? Are you aware of the fact that it makes all the difference in the world as to what you believe on things concerning Gods word of the Bible? Can you honesty say that what you are believing and have been believing is the truth taught and revealed in Gods holy word? If this question was asked to a Baptist believer and a Pentecostal believer would not each of them say they are believing the truth? Does the Baptist believer and the Pentecostal believer believe the same thing concerning their confession of salvation? No they do not so can both of them be right? Somebody would have to be wrong simply because there is but one truth to any subject that Gods word teaches. Is not the Holy Spirit the author and revealer of truth? Does he teach the Baptist believer what he believes and in turn teaches the Pentecostal believer what he believes? Surely you understand that what the Baptist believes and what the Pentecostal believes is contrary one with the other don’t you? Do you have any idea just how many different religious denominations there are in existence today throughout the world? Do you believe they are all believing the truth seeing that they all teach things contrary one with the other?

Paul makes it clear in the above scripture that God has chosen us to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, which should clearly reveal to you that a lot of beliefs being proclaimed today is in error. Is it not a fact that each denomination of believers think and believe they are right? I would say that each denomination no doubt believes in their heart that their denomination is the one that is right, but can you not see what this way of thinking is doing as a whole? As long as each denomination believes they are right, then this has created what is called a “stalemate” or a “deadlock” which means its a standstill resulting from the action of equal and opposed forces.

They all oppose themselves and no doubt realize that somebody is definitely wrong, but as long as each of them continues to believe they are right and all the rest are wrong, then there can be no unity among them. Listen to what the apostle Paul has to say in regards to this in I Corinthians 1:10 that says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment..” Is not Paul actually commanding us all to speak the same thing and be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment? Can you not see all the division among the many different denominations today? They certainly are not joined together in the same mind and judgment speaking and believing the same thing are they? The only way that unity could be a possibility among them is for each denomination to realize that they may be the one in error, but this would take a miracle for this to happen, of which I doubt very much that it will happen. There is of course a great possibility that certain individuals of each denomination can see the dilemma that’s taking place and obey this command we find in revelation 18;4 that says, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Can you not see that all denominations have something very much in common one with the other? They are all yet in their sin and confess yet to be sinners, but at the same time they also believe and confess they are born again children of God. It’s the sin that proves them to be sinners and not born again Christians simply because Gods word clearly reveals that born again children of God do not and further more cannot commit sin as I John 3:9 reveals saying, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” Since they all are committing sin and confess that they do, then can you not see why they are all at odds against one another in what they teach and believe? The natural man cannot receive and understand the things of God, because they are carnally minded. Carnal minded men cannot all speak the same thing, because it’s only the Spirit of Christ that can bring man into unity in things that he believes.

In the natural realm of humanity there has always been division in what they believe and understand. It’s totally impossible for the natural mind to be united in whatever they believe whether it be things in the natural realm of life or things that concerns Gods holy word. When the natural man becomes interested in the things of God he must possess the Spirit of God to receive and understand what Gods word teaches. Since all denominations are at odds against one another in things concerning Gods word, then you should see that all are still carnally minded and will remain divided. Did not the apostle Paul tell us in our above text of I Corinthians 1:10 that we are all to speak the same thing and there be no divisions among us and also to be perfectly joined together in the same mind and judgment? Since that is not happening and confusion has set in, then you should know and realize that confusion is not of God, but is of the devil. The church world today will remain in opposition one to the other as long as they all believe to be right in what they teach and believe, but certainly you should be able to understand that somebody is definitely wrong. As long as they all point their finger at someone else they will remain divided and unity will be an impossibility among them. So come out from among them and be not partakers of their sins, so you will not receive of her plagues. “He that has an ear to hear, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.’....amen
