Scripture References: 1 John 4:1-3

How many ways are there to try a spirit to see if it is of God or not? Evidently it’s what John reveals above that is the only criterion or test that can prove a spirit to be of God or not. Can a preacher be proven to be of the antichrist spirit if many people may believe that what he preaches is not the truth of Gods word? No it can’t, because what that certain preacher believes is not proven to be wrong just because many may not believe he is preaching the truth. Is it not a fact that what others may believe to be the truth could very well not be the truth as well? Can you not see that many people opposes what other people believe if they don’t agree with them? All this is proving is that somebody is wrong or somebody is right, but don’t forget that there is a great possibility that both may be wrong, but two different opinions cannot possibly be right. This argument only raises the question asking, “What makes me so wrong and you so right?” This would be the same as two people arguing one with another in what they believe, but how can either of the two convince the other to be wrong? It will only end up as a long drawn out argument with neither person being proven to be wrong. What the apostle John has to say in the above scriptures can very easily prove if a spirit is of God or not. John makes is crystal clear that it’s a certain “CONFESSION” that will definitely prove that the spirit is of God, but what is this confession? Notice that John said that every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, but then he said that every spirit that does not confess this is proven to be of the antichrist spirit.

So the sixty four thousand dollar question is, “What does it mean to confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh?” First of all notice that John said that the spirit must confess that Jesus Christ “IS COME IN THE FLESH.” John did not say to confess that Jesus Christ “DID COME IN THE FLESH” which is reference to time past, which of course Christ did come in the flesh as most believe. And notice also that John did not say the spirit must confess that Jesus Christ “WILL COME IN THE FLESH” which is reference to the future, which of course he will as most believe as well.

To confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is present tense, which simply means to listen closely to what a person is saying in regards to the life that is being manifested in and through their mortal flesh. If a person condones sin and does not live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world as Titus 2:11-12 states, then that spirit in that certain person is not the Spirit of God being manifested. Listen to what Paul tells sus in Titus 2:11-12 that says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” Notice that Paul speaks of this present day and age we now live in and not in the past or the future. How can a person live a righteous and godly life with sin in their life? If a person confesses to be a saved born again child of God and still living in sin, then that person is not of God, but is of the spirit of antichrist. The word “anti” means to be apposed to the truth of Gods holy word. Did not the serpent in the garden of Eden tell Eve that she would not surely die if she ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Did not God tell Adam plainly that in the very day he ate of the tree he would surely die? Then why did Eve eat of the tree knowing what God said about it? And why did Adam eat of the tree knowing that God had warned him of the consequences that would happen if he did eat of the tree? They paid no attention to what God said and ate of the tree and sure enough they died just like God had said. They died a spiritual death into sin and rebellion against God, and physical death came also on them and they would live for a certain length of time and die a physical death. The moment that sin entered into the world it began to take it’s toll on mankind as we can clearly see as we read the sixth chapter of Genesis. Sin was the reason why all flesh had corrupted his way upon the whole face of the earth, as Genesis 6:12 reveals saying, “And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” Sin is a very corruptible thing in a person’s life. Sin will eventually destroy all morals in a person’s life leaving them in a state of degradation and immorality. Jesus made it clear telling us that as it was in the days of Noah and of Lot that the same prevailing condition will exist once again just prior to his return to this earth the second time.

Can you not see that the same conditions exist throughout the world where once again mankind has corrupted itself as they did in Noah and Lots day? Is sin the main focal point in what confessing Christian clergymen is teaching in the world today, or is sin something that very few want to talk about? Sin is definitely not the issue being proclaimed, but rather just a simple belief on Jesus is all that one is believing thinking sin is not the issue and so sin is taking it’s toll once again on mankind as it did in the days of both Noah and Lot. Is not Homosexuality and Lesbianism thought to be a normal lifestyle in our day and age? Was not this gross sin widespread in the city of Sodom and other cities of the plain that God destroyed? Why then are the masses listening to the so-called religious clergymen that actually condone sin instead of condemning it? It’s simple because the blind are leading the blind and both will fall into the same ditch, as Jesus said. Any confessing minister that does not take a stand against sin is of the antichrist spirit and not of God. This nation’s problem with immorality is not caused by the incompetent leaders of this nation, but rather it’s because of the many blind clergymen that is dead in their own sins against God being deceived as they deceive the masses themselves. Paul warned us about this in what he says in 2 Timothy 3:12-13 that says. “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” These many blind deceivers certain don’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in their flesh proving by how they condone sin and cannot condemn it. Christ himself came to this world not to condemn the world, but rather he came to condemn sin in the flesh. He did not condemn the woman taken in adultery, but rather condemned her sin telling her to go sin no more. Listen to the blind clergy today that blast the sin of homosexuality, but says nothing against the other hundreds of sins that fills their pews in their own denominational churches in this nation. They are like the crowd that was about to stone the woman taken in adultery not realizing they were just as guilty of sin as she was. Yes homosexuality is a very gross sin against God, but what about all the many other sins that the deceived confessing Christians are guilty of as well? They are throwing stones at the homosexual, but they fail to acknowledge all the other sins they are guilty of. This is hypocrisy at it’s highest form, but to tell them about it will cause them to hate you with a passion. So don’t be deceived; wake to righteousness and sin not, for some (many) has not the knowledge of God, as Paul said in I Corinthians 15:34. In closing listen to what Paul tells sus in Ephesians 5:14-16 that says, “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” He that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.....amen
