Scripture References: Ephesians 2:10 and 1 Peter 1:23

To become a son of God is the total workmanship of God himself, as Paul clearly tells us in the above scripture. All that God needs from us is our complete and total cooperation. To cooperate with God means to allow God to perform the operation of the new birth on us. This cooperation is called “obedience” in Gods word, but you need to understand that we cannot believe and obey Gods word without the Spirit of Christ being in our heart. The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8:9 these words saying, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Without the power of the Spirit of Christ we can do nothing, as Jesus tells us in John 15:5 that says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” Since we can do nothing without him, then it stands to reason we cannot cooperate with him so that he can in time conform us to his image, as Paul tells us in Romans 8:29. But listen to what Paul tells as stated in Philippians 4:13 that says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

So how does God make us a son of God? Look if you will at what Peter tells us in the above scripture of I Peter 1:23. He reveals here that God makes us his son as we are created in Christ Jesus. How does God create? Does he not create through and by the power of his spoken word? In Genesis 1:1 we find these words saying, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” How did God create the heaven and the earth in the beginning? Let the writer of the book of Hebrews give us the answer to this question. In Hebrews 11:3 we find Gods word saying, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” And in Psalms 33:6 we find Gods word saying, “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” So its plain to see that God creates and brings things into existence by the power of his spoken word. Do you realize that a born again son of God is of no exception? Did not Paul tell us that we are “created in Christ Jesus” which is the workmanship of God? Notice that Paul uses the word “created” in what he tells us in Ephesians 2:10. God always creates by the power of his spoken word, so God makes us his son by the power of his spoken word, as his word is revealed to us, but if we do not believe and obey it, then his word cannot conform us to his image. The word that will eventually make us his son are the already spoken words that came out of the mouth of Jesus Christ as he was teaching Gods word to his disciples.

This is what Peter meant when he tells us that we are being born again not of corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever. What is more powerful than Gods word, which is able to speak all things into existence? As we believe and obey Gods word revealed in the teachings of Christ, it still has the same creating power as the word that created the heaven and the earth and all that is contained in it. Believing the teachings of Christ is the creating power that will in time conform us to the very image of Christ that will make us spiritually like him in his character and nature. It’s the cleansing and creating power of Gods word that destroys all traces of inbred sin within out total being that consists of a body, a soul, and a spirit. When God first created Adam, he was totally without any sin whatsoever, but when he disobeyed the command of God and partook of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, he became infested with sin in his whole being. All God has to do is to remove the sin that indwelled Adam and he would once again be a sinless and perfect man . Exactly how was God going to remove the sin from man? He could have removed the sin in a second of time, but he chose rather to do it through the cleansing power of his word. This process is called sanctification. In John 17:17 we find that Jesus said these words saying, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” It’s the cleansing power of Gods word that removes sin as we believe and obey it. Jesus said these words to his disciples as stated in John 15:3 that says, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” They were cleansed from the sin that indwelled them and it was the power of the word that did the cleansing. This is the very reason why Christ was manifested in this world. Listen to what John tells us concerning this in what he stated in I John 3:8 that says, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” And listen to what John the Baptist has to say concerning this in John 1:29 that says, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” How was Jesus going to take away sin? He does it by the power of his word that is revealed within the gospel, which is his teachings if we believe and obey them. This is also what Paul tells us in Romans 1:16 that says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” The gospel of Christ contains all his teachings that he revealed to the writers of the NT covenant, which was Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, James, Jude, and the apostle Paul. Christianity has been deceived into believing that the gospel is a mere belief on the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Christ, but this is what happened to Christ at the end of his ministry. He had to die and shed his blood in order to put the new covenant into power. It was the writer of the book of Hebrews that tells us these words in Hebrews 9:16-17 that says, “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.” The last thing that Christ had to do was to be put to death, which took place on a cross outside the city of Jerusalem. The moment he died on that cross he uttered these words stated in John 19:30 saying, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” So the death and the shedding of Christ’s blood on the cross put into power the new testament and the old testament covenant came to an end. It’s the teachings of Christ that saves the soul of the sinner and not just a mere belief on his death, burial, and resurrection, but multiplied millions of people are left believing this not knowing what the gospel of Christ is. The gospel has been hidden from them through the power of Satan as Paul tells us in what he said in II Corinthians 4:3-4 that says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Satan, through his many ministers, has the multitudes believing the gospel is a belief only on his death, burial, and resurrection, but is only one truth out of many that must be accepted and believed. Satan, through his many ministers, has cleverly hidden the truth of what Paul tells us as stated in I Corinthians 15: 3-4 that says, “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” Satan has blinded the minds of millions of people from seeing that the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ (DBR) was only the first truth out of many truths that was delivered to Paul that was to be believed. The truth of the (DBR) of Christ was the first truth out of all that was delivered unto Paul (13 epistles) and certainly not the only truth to be accepted and believed. So what Satan’s ministers has done they have took the truth of the (DBR) of Christ and made a gospel of it. Did not Paul tell us that if any man or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel that they would be cursed of God? (Galatians 1:8) The (DBR) of Christ is only one truth that is contained within the whole gospel of Christ that consists of all his teachings, but believing you are saved by believing the single truth of the (DBR) is believing only one truth out of hundreds of truths and will leave you in a state of deception.

To think or believe that one is born again by merely believing one truth out of hundreds is down right ridiculous, but millions of confessing Christians are doing exactly that. Is there any wonder why they still call themselves sinners living in outright sin and rebellion against God? Do they not yet call themselves sinners even as they live in open sin against God? They have been told by Satan’s ministers that they are born again and the blood of Christ covers their sins and God cannot see them. Can you not see how ridiculous and deceiving this is to believe? What do they do with what I John 3:9 says when they are confronted with it that says, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” They do sin and they know it, but they believe that Christ’s blood covers them and God don’t see their sins, which is nothing more than an outright lie of the devil that they are believing. Why are they believing this lie? Let Paul tell us in what he says in II Thessalonians 2:10-12 that says, “ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” What does Gods word really have to say about the deceiving power of sin? Or did you not know that sin is a very deceitful thing? If not, then listen to what Hebrews 3:13 tells us saying, “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” The deceitfulness of sin will cause the whole world once again to corrupt themselves as it did in Noah’s day. How do I know this? Listen to what Jesus said about it as stated in Matthew 24:37 that says, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” What was it like in Noah’s day? Listen to what Genesis 6:12 states saying, “And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” Sin corrupted all flesh with the exception of Noah who found grace in Gods sight. So just prior to Christ’s coming to this earth for his church, once again all flesh will have corrupted his way upon the earth. Sin is what corrupted man in Noah’s day and it will be sin again that will corrupt mans way upon this earth at Christ’s coming. Why will sin corrupt all flesh once again? It’s simply because the truth concerning sin has been blinded from the eyes of the religious clergy today. It’s taught in Christianity today that the blood of Christ covers their sin and God cannot see it. And they also teach that Christ’s death on the cross paid the penalty for all sins of the past, the present, and the future, but this also is a deceiving lie of Satan as he works thorough his many ministers in these last days. What about you friend? Have you been deceived by the deceitfulness of sin still being bound in your sin thinking you are saved and born again even though there is sin yet in your life even as you confess to be born again? Again read this scripture in I John 3:9 that says, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” Are you like the many millions of confessing Christians that still lives in sin and rebellion against God even as they confess to be born again? “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” (Revelation 3:22)
