The Bible is very clear on women’s role in Church. It has established guide lines that are to be lived by and most importantly to be obeyed. Yet all through out the churches we see that it seems that women have forgotten what God’s word tells them. Woman have become very outspoken in church, not willing to learn in silence as the Bible instructs them to. This article isn’t meant to degrade women in any way, but simply to give women an understanding what God’s word instructs them to live by. No doubt their will be some that will take this is an attack on women without realizing that it should always be Gods word as the final authority on such matters.
The mans responsibility to teach and instruct. I’m sure you have seen a woman that is bold and outspoken, she will begin to teach and usurp (to seize and hold in possession by force or without right) her authority over a man and then other women begin to join in. When God created man He first formed Adam not Eve. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of man Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man (1 Corinthians 11:8 -9). Clearly we can see that the woman was create as one to be of help, to be loved and cherished as Christ loved the Church.
The Bible has set forth guide lines even how a woman is to conduct herself in church. Often times I’m sure you have seen a women that is very outspoken and will usurp authority over man. Notice what the apostle Paul tells her in 1 Timothy 2:11 -12 “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” Notice that she is to learn in silence (forbearance from speech or noise).
Women have a very important roll in what they are to teach and instruct which is to love their husbands and love their children, to be discreet (having or showing discernment or good judgment in conduct and especially in speech : prudent ; especially: capable of preserving prudent silence) chaste keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands that the word of God be not blasphemed (Titus 2:4-5). These are the things that the aged women are to teach the younger women, put when it comes to teaching doctrine God has always used man. Now in our day and age we live in it is very clear to see that women have become more and more bold, they have went out and become the back bone for their families leaving their God given duties behind for someone else to fulfill. Giving them the boldness that was meant for the man.
So that they have either forgotten or ignore how Gods word instructs them to act when it comes to Church. In the beginning of this article it was mentioned that Gods word has the final authority on how women are to conduct themselves in church. Now some many say what is church ? The Church is not the building but rather the Church is where the body of Christ meets which is made up of many members both male and female. Yet the Bible is very clear that the women are to keep silence in churches, for it not even permitted for them to speak, that they are COMMANDED to be under obedience (obedience to Gods word). If they learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home, for it is a shame for a women to speak in church (1 Corinthians 14:34-35) !! AMEN !!
