If someone were to ask you what youthought a true Christian is, what would you say? Can you take the Bible andprove what a true Christian is? Many thousands of people today are claiming tobe true born again children of God, but I doubt that five percent of the peopletoday have the slightest idea as to what a true born again child of God is. Areyou, my friend, aware of the fact that to say you are a Christian and toactually be one is very much two different things altogether. The greatestmajority of people today who confess to be born again Christians are onehundred percent void of the truth as to what a true born again child of God is,but yet they claim to be one. If you were to look up the definition of the wordChristian in a good dictionary you will find that it means to refer to a personwho professess the religious principals of Jesus Christ. What this actuallymeans is that if you claim to be a Christian then you are confessing to havethe very same principles and characteristics of Jesus Christ himself. Rememberthat it is very possible to claim to be something when actually you may not be.It is very easy to say that you are a certain thing, but actually being whatyou say you are is very much a different thing. To prove whether we are trueborn again Christians or not, we must look into the word of God and find outexactly what the characteristics of Christ are.
The better definition for theword Christian is to say that you are Christ-like. In other words you are justlike Christ. If you will look at the verses of scripture found in John 17:20-21 you will findthese words saying. "Neither prayI for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through theirword; That they all may be one, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, thatthey also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me."Now let me ask you this question myfriend. Do you know exactly what it means to be one in Christ? What thisactually means is that the true believer actually has Christ molded into his orher very being making Christ and the believer one in essence orcharacteristics. If your mind can see this wonderful truth then you will beable to see that Christ actually becomes the believers life and it will then beChrist manifested in the flesh. Can you then understand what this means inrespects as to what kind of life you will live and manifest? This means thatChrist will be the very one that will be manifested in and through your mortalbody. Now since we have come to realize these very important principles of whata true born again Christian is, let us now take a good look at ourselves andthe confessing clergy of today and see if those who confess to be born againchildren of God are what they say they are. Are you aware of the commonteaching of today's confessing clergymen behind the pulpits today my friend? Ifyou are not, then allow me please to refresh your memory of some of theirteachings that they are telling you. Do you know of any preacher that does notteach that born again Christians are yet prone to sins power in their livesalthough they may be born again? Why do all preachers, teachers, andpastors say that born again Christians are still prone to sin's power when thevery word of God says that the true born again child of God is one with Christ, meaning that Christ is the one that lives in and through their mortal flesh?Friend can't you see how today's confessing clergymen are not telling you thetruth of the revealed word of God? If they are one in Christ, which means thatChrist has been molded in their very being, why then would thay yet teach a sindoctrine in their church? How can Christ be their life when they preach sin inthe lives of those truly born again of God? The word of God my freind veryplainly says that true believers will be one in Christ, meaning that Christ andthe believer become one in all things that pertain to life. A true born againchild of God could be described as being Christ in the flesh. This does notmean that they confess to be Christ, but rather it means that Christ is in themliving their lives in and through them. This is why a true born again Christianwill be hated and despised by the high-nosed religious people who has only aconfession of Christ without a possession of Christ. A religious hypocrite willaccuse a true born again child of God of trying to make themselves to be equalwith the Lord Jesus. This is exactly what the people thought of Jesus when hewas on this earth in the form of a man teaching the word of truth. In John 10:31-33 we find itsaying, "THEN THE JEWSTOOK UP STONES AGAIN TO STONE HIM. JESUS ANSWERED THEM, MANY GOOD WORKS HAVE ISHEWED YOU FROM MY FATHER; FOR WHICH OF THESE WORKS DO YE STONE ME? THE JEWSANSWERED HIM, SAYING, FOR A GOOD WORK WE STONE THEE NOT; BUT FOR BLASPHEMY; ANDBECAUSE THAT THOU, BEING A MAN, MAKEST THYSELF GOD." Do you know why these Jews were about to stone Jesus? Itwas because he said that he and his Father were one. (read John 10:30)What Jesus was actually saying to those Jews was the fact that Christ and hisFather were one in essence, meaning that he and the Father were exactly alikein all things that they did or said. Christ was a man that the Father wasmolded into just like a true born again Christian is molded in Christ today. The true believer becomes one with Christ meaning that Christ has come in theflesh and they have become one in character etc. Jesus told the people thatwhen they saw him they also saw the Father meaning that he and the Father wereone and the same. A true born Christian today is not Christ himself, but ratherit is Christ in them and it is him that is being manifested in the flesh. Thefalse Christs that is spoken of in Matthew24:24 are those who confess to be bornagain Christians and not having the way that leads to life eternal. These fallin the realm of of the ministers. There are many in the land today claiming tobe miracle workers but they are so void of truth that it's pathetic. The trulyborn again children of God are those that Christ is manifested through, but notnecessarily through the realm of powerful works such as miracles etc. Thegospel is the power of God unto our salvation meaning it will transform us intothe very image of Christ. If God wants miracles to be wrought through his truepeople they will be done, but this is not the theme of the true Christians. TheChristians goal is perfection. All scripture is inspired of God to instruct usin righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished untoall good works. (II Timothy3:16-17) All that manypeople can see in the word of God is miracles, signs, and wonders etc. If youreject truth my friend, Satan stands ready to fill your mind with strongdelusions. (read IIThessalonians 2:7-12).
