Reference: Matthew 7:13-14
Many people are aware of the fact that theword of God very plainly reveals that there are ways that seem to be right whenactually they are the ways of death. The sad part about it is that very fewrealize that the way that they are on may be the way that seems right while allthe time it is the way that leads to death. There are millions of people todayclaiming to be born again children of God, but how many can truthfully say thatthey are sure that the way they are going is the way that leads to lifeeternal? I know for a fact that to tell the average person that they are on theway that leads to death will cause them to get angry at you and they will notlisten to anyone that differs with their way of thinking about spiritualmatters. The average person will think that they are being deceived when theyare told that they are on the way that leads to destruction. Very few peopleare concerned enough to really get serious about what way they are traveling.Most people will believe just about anything they hear thinking they are beingtold the truth of the gospel. Satan has thousands of preachers in the world today proclaiming ways that seem to be rightwhen all the time they are teaching error. The average person does not haveclear enough desernment to know what is truth and what is not. It seems thatevery person that is a member of some church in their community is led to believethat they have truth and that they are true born again christians. What mostpeople fail to realize is that the way that seems to be right is a waythat very many can see and understand.
Each and every denomination organizationis led to believe that they have the truth and that they have been born againof the Spirit of God. Each denomination knows that there are many differentpoints of view concerning doctrine, but they do not allow this difference tocause them to think all the rest of the organizations are in error. The reasonwhy they can do this because they all basically believe the very same thingconcerning Christ and how he died and was raised again etc. Checking eachdenomination we can see that they all teach and believe the same thing abouthow Christ came to die on the cross for our sins. Each organization thinks thatsalvation is received based on the fact that they confess to believe on Christand that he died for their sins etc. This belief leaves them thinking that theyhave been accepted of God and made a new creature in Christ. Thinking you havebecome a new creation when you claim to have accepted Christ as Lord andSaviour leaves you in a position where it is impossible for you to receiverevelation of truth. The word of God reveals that we become new creatures inChrist through and by the revelation of truth as it is revealed to our heartsand minds by the Holy Spirit in our hearts. This truth is not accepted in thechurch world today because they have been led to believe that they became newcreations in Christ when they confessed to accept Christ as their personal Lordand Saviour. How can there possibly be room for growth believing this doctrine?There are hundreds of ways being proclaimed today that most people cannotdecern to be error. This is because there are ways that can be backed up withscripture although they are not the way that the Spirit has revealed. Thegreatest majority of churches today have the Bible but what they are ignorantof is the fact that the Holy Spirit has not revealed the true way to them. Thisthey will not accept and believe. This is because they were either taught whatthey believe from their youth or by the church that they attend. Most peopleare not concerned enough to know whether or not what they are being taught intheir church is truth or not. The average person accepts what is being taughtthinking that the leaders in their organization has no reason to be teachingerror. This kind of thinking causes you to place your trust in the arm of fleshand the word of God says that you are cursed if you place your confidence inman. Most people think that to trust their organization leaders is not placingtheir trust in them based on the fact that the word of God says to obey themthat have the rule over you etc. Your faith and trust must rest in God's wordand not what man says. If you are not concerned enough to know what you believeis the revealed truth or not then you are placing your trust in the arm offlesh failing to trust God's word. A true minister of God will lead you toChrist and not to himself. They will leave you standing in a position where youwill have to place your trust in God and not them. If you can't put your faithand trust in God which is proven by the fact that you rely on your pastor forall the answers and hope that he can get in contact with God for you, then youare one that does not place your faith in God and his word. The word of Godreveals that we all must come to the measure and stature of the Lord JesusChrist and not just some of us. You are either following man or Christ. Christis the revealed word of God and to follow and obey it will lead you into astrait and narrow way that leads to life eternal. Thousands of people are beingdeceived today by false preachers and teachers not being able to know the truthfrom error. Satan has many ways in which to deceive you. He can lead you astraybecause of the fact that he can take the Bible and come up with a way that willseem to be right. Look at the denominational churches today and you will findthat the greatest majority of them have the Bible to back up what they teachand believe. What they are ignorant of is the fact that there are many waysthat seem to be right because of the fact that the Bible is used to get whatthey believe. The Bible reveals that the word of truth must be rightly dividedin order to know the truth of it. The truth can only be known by study of thescriptures and allowing the Holy Ghost to reveal its contents to the believer.Revelation of the scriptures is coming to the knowledge of the word of truthhaving been taught it to your heart and mind by an inner revealing of the HolySpirit. Just to hear a statement concerning the scriptures will not benefit youunless it is quickened to your heart and mind by the power of the Holy Ghost.To be revealed truth is like being awakened to a very unusual fact. Receivingthe truth will awaken your mind causing you to know something that you neverknew before. The word of God will have a quickening effect on the heart andmind when you come in contact with it. Listening to the average preacher in thechurch today will not have any effect on your heart and mind whatsoever. Thetruth is something that the true believer will desire and love more thananything else. This love and desire is what quickens it to your heart and mindcausing you to grow strong spiritually. This is why David could say that God'sword was his delight and that he loved it more than anything. Very few peoplehave experienced the love and joy that God's word radiates in the soul when itis received and believed. The church today has substituted their penny-ennyprograms in place of truth. This is why the church is so lifeless and dead. Adead church is a church where the members have no desire and love for the wordof God......
