Scriptre References: Revelation 3:21

Have you ever taken into consideration what an over comer is, and what it is that we must overcome in order to sit with Christ in his throne? The word “overcome” means to win over certain situations that you were faced with in your life. As an illustration, have you ever overcome a habit that you got yourself into such as smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco? To quit smoking cigarettes requires a lot of effort in order to overcome the addiction of it. And the same is true with any other addiction you may have been addicted to in your life. Overcoming these habits requires a lot of will power, but they can be overcome if you are willing to go through the agony of it. Now what exactly is it that Jesus refers to when he said to him that overcomes he will grant to sit with him in his throne? He is referring to a number of things that we have to overcome. Listen to what I John 2:15 tells us saying, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Have you overcome these things that John is talking about? These certain things that John is referring to are things that will keep you separated from God, and you cannot have fellowship with him.

Surely you want to have fellowship with God don’t you? Are you aware of the fact that if any person loves the things of this world, then the love of the Father is not in them? The things of this world is exactly what will fulfill the lusts and desires of the flesh, and we cannot love God and love the things that this world has to offer. Listen if you will to what Jesus himself sats about overcoming the world in what he says in John 16:33 that says, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Did not Jesus leave us an example and we are to follow in his steps who did no sin, as IPeter 2:21-22 that says, “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.” Most people are not told this, and so they have been deceived into believing that its Gods will for them to prosper and to have the better things of this life. But did not Jesus say these words in Matthew 10:38-39 that says, “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” Do you know what it means to lose your life for Christ’s sake? It simply means that you have to deny your sinful life that desires the things of this world and to take up your cross and follow Jesus Christ who did no sin.
Do you honestly think that you can become a disciple and follow Christ and still love this world and the pleasures of sin? I know for a fact that multiplied millions of people think and believe they have fellowship with God even as they still live in sin and rebellion against God. But listen to what I John 1:6-7 tells us saying, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.” But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” To walk in darkness means to live in sin, but to walk in light means to walk in the truths revealed in Gods word that will cleanse us from all inbred sin of both our flesh and spirit. So what if anything have you overcome, and what if anything have you conquered as you confess to be a disciple of Christ? You have not overcome the power and influence of sin simply because you are being told that the death of Christ on the cross paid the penalty for all your sins as long as you may live, but that is a lie of the devil. Did not the apostle Paul tell his converts at Rome these very words as stated in Romans 8:12-13 that says, “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” To continue living after the flesh simply means to go right on in sin, but did not Paul say they would die if they continued doing that, and did he not tell them that if they mortified the deeds of their body they would live? If Christ died for all their sins as long as they live, then ask yourself why did Paul tell them to mortify the deeds of their body? And why did Paul tell his Corinthian converts in I Corinthians 15:34 these words telling them to, “ Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.” Why did he tell them to quit their sinning if Christ already paid the penalty for all their sins as long as they live? No, Christ only paid the penalty for our past sins; not present and future sins as well, like its being taught throughout Christianity today.
Let Paul prove this to you in what he said in Romans 3:25 that says, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” There is nothing said or referred to about sins present and the future, but only sins of the past. The “sins of the past” are all the sins we committed against God up to the time when we come to God asking him to forgive us our sins against him. Do you know of any person that came to God and asked him in prayer to forgive all their sins past, present, and future? No, they simply asked God to forgive them from all the sins that have already committed against him in their past life; not the sins they would presently be committing and the sins they would be committing in the future. Asking God to forgive you of your sins are only the sins of the past; not present and future sins. What you need to understand is that Paul clearly reveals in Romans 3:25 that we must now submit to Gods righteousness, which is for the remission of our past sins, and not to continue on in sin like its being taught in the confessing Christian world today. Let me give you another witness to this truth in what Peter tells us in 1 Peter 4:1-2 that says, “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.” Do you hear Peter saying we are to cease from sin and not to live the rest of our life in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God? Why then is it being taught in Christianity that Christ’s death paid the penalty for all sins, past, present, and future? Why? To deceive you away from truth that would eventually set you free completely from all sin and give you eternal life. You cannot have eternal life and remain in your sinful life at the same time. Listen to Paul in regards to this in what he said in Colossians 3:3-4 that says, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” If there is yet sin in your life, then your life is not hid with Christ in God and further more Christ is not your life as well. The sinful life and the life of Christ cannot be manifested at the same time, but millions of people has been deceived into believing the born again children of God will still possess the sinful nature. But the apostle Paul clearly disproves this devilish doctrine in what he said in Galatians 5:24 that says, “And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” This crucifying of the lusts and affections of the flesh is accomplished by ceasing from sin, but without Christ in us this would be quite impossible to do. Converts in Christianity today continues right on in sin and still confessing to be sinners not being able to cease from it, and the reason for this is simply because the power of Christ is not in them. To receive Christ is not done by merely accepting him as Lord and Savior like its being taught in Christianity today. When Christ is truly received into the heart, the heart will miraculously be purified of all the evil and wickedness it contains. Revelation 3:20 reveals what we must do in order for Christ to come into our heart, John tells us these words saying, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Christ eagerly desires to come into the heart, but we must hear his voice and do exactly what he tells us to do before he will take up his abode within our heart. To hear his voice is to hear what his word says, which is revealed in Acts 2:38 that says, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” God who cannot lie said through the apostle Peter that we must repent and be baptized in Christ’s name in order to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. To receive the Holy Ghost is to receive the one Spirit of God, which is also referred to as being the Spirit of Christ, the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, and the Spirit of God. Peter tells us these words stated in Acts 3:19-20 saying, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you.” Christ is not received by just asking him into your heart like millions are told in confessing Christian denominations today. Christ does come into the heart, but you must obey the two commands of repentance and water baptism in his name before he will come into your heart as Revelation 3:20 clearly reveals. Very few people has obeyed these commands and so therefore very few people will receive Christ into their heart that will spiritually purify their hearts by faith, as Acts 15:8-9 that says, “Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.” This is exactly why the multiplied millions of confessing converts in Christianity today still posses the same old wicked heart that is filled with evil and wickedness, even as they confess to be born again children of God. They claim to be born of God, but Gods word spoken through the apostle John tells us these words stated in I John 3:9 saying, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” Christianity denies what John says here and they go right on their deceived way confessing to be born again as they still live in sin and rebellion against God. They are speaking lies in hypocrisy as Paul tells us in I Timothy 4:1-2 that says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” Are you among the millions of confessing Christians today saying you have been born of God, but yet manifest sin in your life? “He that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.” AMEN
