Scripture References: John 3:17, Matthew 1:21, Luke 19:10

Yes Jesus Christ is both Lord and Savior, as the above verses of scriptures clearly reveals, as well as many other scriptures found throughout the new Testament. But Jesus as a man did not go around saving people by a manifestation of a miraculous act of power like he did when he healed a person from a sickness or disease. So if you believe that Jesus saved you instantly just because you may have asked him to, then you are one the many millions of people that has been deceived by one of the many false prophets doctrines that Gods word warns us about.

When Jesus walked this earth revealing the contents of the New Testament covenant containing twenty seven epistles written by approximately eight apostles, it is the revealed truths of these epistles that does the saving of the soul and not Jesus himself. Did not God speak all things into existence throughout the universe by the power of his spoken word? When Gods word is believed and obeyed it has a cleansing and creating effect. So it’s all the revealed truths of Gods word that was spoken by Christ that will save your soul only if you believe and obey them. Listen to what we are told in Hebrews 5:9 that says, “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” To obey Christ is the only way you can be saved, which simply means to believe and obey his teachings; not just believing on him thinking that is what saves you. The millions of converts in the realm of the confessing Christian world today has been led to believe that they are saved by a miraculous act of Christ in an instant of time, but that is not how Christ saves a person.

You must realize that Christ is the revealed truths of the word of God that does the saving of the soul and not just believing on the person of Christ. Listen to what Gods word tells us in James 1:21-22 that says, “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” Can you not see here that it’s the engrafted word of God that does the saving of the soul, only if you believe and do what it says? It’s the cleansing and creating power of Gods word that will save your soul and not just to say you believe on Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior like its being taught in Christianity today. In Genesis 1:3 it says, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” It was the creating power of Gods spoken word that brought light into existence. What do you think will happen if we start believing and obeying his word revealed in the New Testament scriptures? It will begin to conform us daily to the image of Christ as Paul tells us in Romans 8:29 that says, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” God did not say through the mouth of Christ that we are spoken into existence as a born again son of God instantly, but rather Gods word said through the apostle Peter in I Peter 1:23 these words saying, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

We are being born again or saved as Gods word is believed and obeyed in a daily process until Gods word has completed the new birth on us. This is Gods word performing this work as Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:10 that says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Notice that Paul says we are “created” in Christ Jesus meaning that it’s the creating power of Gods word that performs the operation of the new birth if his word is believed and obeyed. The word of God that will conform us to the image of Christ are the many truths revealed within the gospel. Gods word can create instantly as well as progressively. It was within six days that God had created the heaven and the earth and all that it contains. Each day God created certain things and on the sixth day he ceased from all his work and entered into his rest on the seventh day.

So we can see the creating power of his word as we look at all the things that we can see with our eyes. If you can understand how Gods word is both cleansing and creative, then you should be able to understand how his word of the holy scriptures is the power unto eternal salvation if its believed and obeyed. God could definitely speak a born again son of God instantly into existence, but that is not how he chose to do it. Listen to what Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:13 that says, “But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.” We must believe and obey the truths of his word revealed in scripture in order to be saved, which is a process that requires time and patience. We grow spiritually to a born again son of God daily as we walk in the light of his word. Paul again tells us these words in Ephesians 2:19-22 that says, “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” We become a holy temple in the Lord daily as we are being built upon the foundation of Gods word as its revealed to us by the Spirit. Christianity teaches that a person is saved instantly by their belief on the person of Christ saying they accepted him as their own personal Lord and Savior, but this fallacy is far from the truth of the matter. This is why the millions of confessing Christians today are still dead in their sin and rebellion against God. They have a confession on Christ, but they do not possess Christ proven by their defeated testimony they have. They say they know him personally as Lord and Savior of their life, but they deny him in the life that is manifested through them, which is still a sinful life that they were born with. If they were truly born again it would be the very life of Christ that would be manifested through them and not their old sinful life. Paul clearly proves in his epistles that it’s the very life of Christ that will be manifested in and through those truly born of God. Listen to what Paul has to say regarding this in Galations 2:20 that says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” It was no longer the sinful life of Paul being manifested in and through his flesh, but rather it was the life of Christ, which is a sinless life as well as an eternal life. Listen again to what Paul tells us in Colossians 3:3-4 that says, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

If there is sin yet in your life, then “your life” is not hid with Christ in God and further more Christ is not your life as Paul says there. The life of Christ is not a sinful life and so therefore if you’re still living in sin like confessing Christians are today, then Christ is not your life and you are still dead and deceived in your sins. “He that has an ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.” AMEN
