Reference: Colossians 3:9-11
Have you ever truly considered my friendjust exactly what this new man in Christ is that the word of God is speakingabout? Now if you will listen to the average confessing christian today andespecially the preachers, you will get the idea that a christian is only aperson with a confession about Christ and not a person that has beentransformed into the image of Christ.
Did you know my friend that there is agreat difference between a true child of God and those who are not yetconfessing to be one? Now there are millions of people today confessing to be aSpirit filled born again child of God, but if you will listen to theirconversation close enough you can easily distinguish the true from the falsechristian.
The false christian can be detected bywhat the word of God calls the flattering lips. The word flatter means tocompliment hypocritically. This simply means that a person will seemingly goalong with something or someone by constantly saying good things about whateveror whoever they are referring to. Now since we are talking about the christian,the false christian can be detected by their constant honouring of Christ withtheir lips, but their heart is far from him.
To honour Christ with your lipsand your heart being far from him is done by saying good things about Christand at the same time not truly being obedient to what his word says. People whoare involved in this type of condition have been deceived without knowinganything about it. A deceived person will honour Christ with their mouth, butthey have not been truly converted and they do not receive and obey therevealed truth of the gospel.
Although there are many people who aredeceived and yet give honour to Christ with their mouth, they will not acceptthe truth simply because they don't think that they are deceived. There arevery few people who will be willing to admit they are in error. If anyoneattempts to tell somebody that they are in error, they will be looked upon as aperson who wants to stir up trouble being of the devil. The deceived personwill call anyone of the devil if they go around being different from anydenominational church in existence.
The average person can't accept the factthat the denominational churches are in error simply because they seem tostress a lot about the Bible and give a lot of honour to Christ by the way theytalk about him. Yes, today's churches will honour Christ with theirmouth, but they absolutely will not accept what the Bible truly reveals aboutmany of the doctrines that it contains.
If a person will read the Bible with anopen mind and allow God's word to be true and every man a liar, I willguarantee that what the word of God has to say about just exactly what the newman in Christ is, that this truth will easily convince them that very fewpeople today have truly been saved and transformed to the image of Christ.
The way to tell the false from the true isby the way they talk about Christ not having a conversation like Christ had. Bythis I mean that they do not talk in the same manner that Jesus talked. Thetrue child of God will be the same as Christ was in all of his or her manner ofconversation. Now does the average confessing christian today sound like andcan be described in the same way that Christ can be described from the Bible?If you will try to describe what Christ was like and the things that he wouldtalk about and the way that he lived, I will guarantee that hardly any todaywill fit the same description.
To teach that a christian will fit thesame description that Christ manifested will quickly cause that teaching to berejected.This would be simply because of the fact that the confessing christiantoday is nowhere near what Christ was like as according to the way the Bibledescribes him. The Bible says that Christ did no evil nor did he sin whatsoever.Now to teach that the true child of God does not live in and commit sin, thisteaching will not be accepted by the nominal church world today.
The word of God very plainly says thatwhosoever is born of God does not and cannot commit sin, but thisteaching has been twisted by the many so-called preachers and teachers thatthis world is so full of. What the religious world cannot see and understand isthe fact that the new man that the Bible speaks about is a new creation of aman that has been transformed to the very image and likeness of Christ himself.
The true christian is a person that Christhas been formed in, but listening to the average confessing christian todayit's plain to see that the Lord Jesus is not their life being the onemanifested in and through their mortal bodies. The word of God plainly revealsthe fact that Christ is the life of the true born again child of God. Now ifChrist is the life of the truly born again christians, why then do they yetlive in and commit sin?
There are many so-called confessingchristians today who say that Christ may have never sinned, but when it comesto allowing God's word to be true on the subject of sin and how that Christ isthe life of the truly born again christian, this truth will absolutely not beaccepted as being scripturally sound doctrine. Only the pure and unadulteratedword of God can bring into existence the new man that the Bible speaks about.Every person who says or teaches that the born again child of God will yet livein and commit sin has not been saved and are void of the truth.
Jesus said that truth will set us free. Ifyou are not free, then you are void of truth and to be void of truth is beingvoid of Christ simply because Christ is the way, the truth, andthe life. I'll just about guarantee that ninety some precent ofconfessing christians today absolutely will not accept the truth about the sinquestion in the life of the child of God.
They can't accept it because they are yetin the flesh being prone to its desires, and to be in the flesh and prone toits desires means that they yet commit sin not being able to cease from it. Thefalse teacher will twist the scriptures on the subject of sin saying thatnobody can live without sin in their lives. They may be right in so far assaying that nobody can cease from sin, but they are forgetting about the factthat it's Christ that lives the life of the truly born again child of God. (read Colossians 3:1-4 and II Corinthians 4:8-11)
The new man in Christ has been createdthrough and by the truth of God's holy and righteous word. This is the power ofthe gospel of Jesus Christ that so many are being blinded from today. Thistruth has not been proclaimed for many years. We are living in the time whenthe grace of God has been turned into lasciviousness as so stated by theapostle Jude in Jude 1:4.
Turning God's grace into lasciviousnessmeans that ungodly men will teach that to be saved is done and evidencedthrough and by a fleshly sensation at the altar, but the word of God says weare saved by grace through faith, meaning that we are conformed to Christ'simage by the power of the revealed word of truth of the gospel.....
