Reference: Matthew 24:14
This fourteenthverse of the twenty fourth chapter of the book of Matthew makes a very astounding statement when it tells us that theend shall come when the gospel of the kingdom would once again be preached. Nowwe know that men have been preaching for many hundreds of years since Christcame to this earth and revealed the true gospel to the twelve disciples.
We also know that as time went on thetruth of the gospel was hidden and covered up by many misleading theories ofwhat the gospel was supposed to be. Now if the true gospel has been preachedanytime during the last hundred years or so, then the end would have alreadycome, but of course this has not taken place yet. It is very possible that thisgospel is being preached in the day and age we live in, but since the end hasnot yet come, then if it is being preached then of course it has not all beenproclaimed.
Now according to what Jesus said, the truegospel of the kingdom of God will be preached in all the world for a witnessunto all nations and then, and only then, will the end come. Now let us try andfind out what this gospel will be that will usher in the end of time so that wewill know what to expect and so that we will not be deceived by the manyso-called gospels that's being proclaimed today. Everybody should know thatthis world is full of religious groups and individuals saying that they areproclaiming the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Do you have any idea as towhich teaching is the truth of God's word today my friend? There are quite afew preachers in the world today and in times past proclaiming to be preachingthe last day message of the kingdom of God. Now the apostle Paul tells us thatthere is but one true gospel and if any man proclaims another gospel that iscontrary to what they have preached then he said to let them be accursed.
Paul said though we, or an angel fromheaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached thenlet him be accursed. This was so important that Paul repeated the warningagain. If you will take a good look at all the different teachings beingproclaimed today in the realm of religion, then according to God's word thereare many that's going to be accursed of Almighty God.
Now if we want to know what the truegospel is that Jesus is talking about and will be preached just prior to theend time, then we must go to the word of God and find this out.
Now first of all just what is the gospelof the kingdom that will be preached in this end time? Now friend there is butone true gospel and this one true gospel was brought down to the earth by theLord Jesus and he taught this one true gospel to his disciples and he in turnsent them to preach it in all the world.
Now Jesus said in Mark 16:15-16 for thedisciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature andhe that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but those who do not believeit will be damned. Now the early disciples began preaching this one true gospeljust like Christ told them to do. As we read the word of God, we find that theapostle Paul was called of God and was revealed a great deal of this gospel bythe revelation of Jesus Christ.
Those early apostles went forth preachingthe true gospel and Paul made the statement that he did not shun to declare allthe councel of God. This of course meant that Paul did not leave out any of thegospel, but rather he delared it all. All of the truth was revealed to theearly apostles and they preached it everywhere they went. Now the apostle Johnwas revealed many different things that he did not understand. The apostle Johnwrote the book of Revelation and in this book is contained many things that wasnot to be revealed until the very last days.
There are many in the world todayattempting to preach the book of Revelations, but of course it takes a veryspiritually inspired person to unravel its many mysteries. it seems that thisbook of Revelations is what most preachers are interested in today, but thetruth concerning the main thrust of the gospel is left out.
The gospel that the early apostlespreached is yet the same gospel that will be preached in all the world as awitness unto all nations as Jesus said in our text of Matthew 24:14. Now accordingto the word of God we are told that Almighty God will not bring judgement uponpeople without giving ample warning first.
Now what is the next great event to takeplace that the Bible speaks about? It's of course the coming of Christ and theend of the world. Now the book of Revelations describes what will take place onthe great day of God's wrath. Now before this takes place, there will onceagain be the preaching of the true gospel that will prepare a people forChrist's coming just like it was when Christ came the first time to this earth.
John the Baptist made a people ready forthe first coming of Christ, and according to God's word of the Bible there willbe a restoration of the true gospel just prior to Christ's second coming. Nowthis gospel will be the gospel of the kingdom that will make ready a people forChrist second return. We are told that Christ will present to himself aglorious church without spot, and wrinkle, but that it should be holy andwithout blemish.
This gospel of the kingdom will be therevealed truth and will make ready a people for his return. The truth is whatwill set us free as Jesus said in John8:30-32. There arethousands of so-called preachers today preaching just about everythingimaginable. There are more than five hundred different organizations in theworld today and other body of people that are split and divided in what theyteach and believe. The most common teaching in today's churches is that aperson becomes a saved and born again child of God when belief and confession ismade on Christ.
The word of God certainly does not back upthis teaching. The truth that will once again be proclaimed before the endcomes will be the true gospel that will perfect the saints preparing them forChrist's soon return.
The Bible reveals that a person becomes aborn again child of God as they walk in truth that the gospel reveals. In otherwords the gospel is the revealed word of truth that will bring into existencethe new creature in Christ in a progressive manner. The world today has beenled to believe that a person becomes this new creation in a split second oftime when Christ is accepted as Lord and Saviour.
The truth concerning true Bible holinessis exactly what the gospel of the kingdom is that will be preached before theend shall come. This gospel is the truth of how a person grows into spiritualadulthood in a daily process. Paul tells us in Ephesians4:8-14 of the ministry of theperfection of the saints. The truth of the gospel is this ministry that willbring into existence this perfected church that Christ will present to himselfas being a glorious church.
There are thousands of preachers in theworld today preaching everything but true Bible holiness. Paul tells us thatall scriptures is inspired of God to instruct us in righteousness that the manof God my be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works. Isaiah tells usthat if any speak not according to this word that there is no light in them. Tospeak according to the word is according to godliness. (I Timothy 6:3)
