Reading in Romans2:16, Paul speaking to the church of Rome: "Inthe day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according tomy gospel."
What is the gospel? Who's teaching andpreaching the gospel ? As for the word "gospel" it's just another sixlettered word, written in the word of God, but how many people today reallyunderstand and realize how important this six lettered word "gospel"is? It's powerful. It will make a new creature out of you. It'll transform yourmind from evil to good. It will make you a perfect man or woman in Christ. Nowevery church throughout the world today is saying, "We're preaching thegospel." My idea of today's churches is that, they're not preaching evenone tenth of the gospel. Ninety-nine and a half percent of the people don'teven know what the word "gospel" means, as to what the Bible speaksabout, concerning the gospel. Ephesians 3:6 tellsme that, the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body and partakersof His promise in Christ by the gospel. Are you really a true believer in God'sholy word? Are you all one big family in Christ Jesus? Have you strayed off, orbeen deceived by another gospel, other than Paul's gospel? If you have, Paulsays, let him be accursed, or be damned. Are you persauding man or God? Are youseeking to please man? If you are, you're definitely not a servant of Christ. To be a servant of Christ, is to be dedicated to the gospel, which is therevealed word of God. Are you putting all your heart, strength, mind, and soultoward the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom you are trusting?
Have you heard the wordof truth, which is the gospel of your salvation? Believing God's revealed wordof the Bible, which is Jesus Christ, which is the gospel, will lead you directlyto all God's promises. Paul states in Ephesians 1:13that if we fully trust and believe the word of truth, which is the gospel, weare sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. How many so-called professingChristians are proclaiming God's promises today? To profess and possess God'spromises, comes only through and by the word of God. The biggest majority ofthe church world today, believe, but what are they believing? They'reby-passing, and mis-believing the most important thing, God's revealed word ofthe Bible. They're only preaching what their eyes see, and not what the Spiritreveals. Every church that I have ever walked in to, will have their own littledoctrine or belief on what they uphold and stand for. They pick out one littleverse of scripture (we'll say, "only believe" ) so they believe. Whatare they believing? Everything but the true word of God. They only believe thatGod is, and that God still exists. These people are ignorant concerning thecommandments of God. They're not even through kindergarten yet. They only havea form of godliness. Try telling people today to take God at His word. Theywill become your enemy for telling them truth. The way of truth shall be evilspoken of, as the Bible has made mention of. As for the gospel today, where isit being taught, like the apostle Paul taught it back in his day? Reading in Galatians 1:7, Paul states: "They would pervertthe gospel." He also states: If any man, or an angel, preach any otherthing unto you than that which he had preached unto you, let him be accursed. How many gospels are being preached throughout the world today, contrary toPaul's gospel? You've got to know what the gospel is, before it can be preachedor taught, or how can you preach and teach it, if God doesn't open your mind tothe understanding of it? Any man or woman, with any education at all, can openthe Bible and read it all the way through from Genesis to Revelation. The wordsyou read with your natural eye, can only be understood throughly, by aSpiritual minded person. A carnal minded person will never understand and obeythe words of God, concerning the truth, which is the gospel of our salvation. The only way you'll ever understand and obey the commandments of God is to befully dedicated and grounded in His word, and rely upon it. St. John 1:1 tells me: "Inthe beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word wasGod.....," so to be fully dedicated toChrist, and to proclaim the Spirit of Christ, can come only through and by theword of God. Like John said: "The Wordis God." Now the words you see written in the Bible was typedand printed by man. The words you look at is no different from any other bookor magazine. It's what these words pertain to, and only a true convertedChristian man or woman will be able to understand and realize what it's talkingabout. Now a carnal minded person can look through this book, the Bible, and itmeans no more to him than just a story book that he can't understand. Why? ReadJohn 8:43. "Why doye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word." Verse44-45: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father yewill do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of hisown: for he is a liar, and the father of it." Verse 47: "He that isGod heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not ofGod." Look at the church world today. They're only following theirown pernicious ways, speaking evil of the way of truth. They can't cease fromsin. Why? They erred from the beginning. We grow in grace. By grace are wesaved. We're not saved instantly. Being saved is a process. It's a daily walk.To be saved takes obedience to God's word. Reading in the book of Acts, when Paul and Silas were thrown in prison, whatdid the jailer ask Paul? How to be saved. What was Paul and Silas's answer? "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, andthou shalt be saved." Or who-so-ever believeth in Him (the Word)shall be saved. The Bible said they spake the word of the Lord to the jailer. The jailer was converted, not saved. He had to accept the word of the Lord, through Paul, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. Reading in Acts 17:16, the apostle Paul was in Athens. The Biblemakes mention that his spirit was stirred within him, or getting angry. Lookwhat they call Paul. A babbler. Some said, "He seemeth to be a setterforth of strange gods, because he preacheth unto them Jesus, and theresurrection." They even accused him of preaching a new doctrine. Theyalso said Paul was preaching strange things to their ears. They didn't evenunderstand Paul's teaching. Why? In all things you are too superstitious. Theirgod was the Unknown God, whom they ignorantly worshipped. Make mention to thechurch world today, that we can be saved only by our obedience to the word ofGod. They'll say just what they said to Paul. You are a babbler, preaching andteaching a new doctrine. Preaching and teaching to their ears. Why do they saythis? They don't have the mind of Christ. Be ye transformed by the renewing ofyour mind, for to be carnally minded is death, but to be Spiritually minded islife, and peace. Are you Spiritually minded in Christ, or are you carnal?Examine your ownselves, whether ye be in the faith. Prove your ownselves, howthat Christ is in you except ye be reprobates. "Knowye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you except ye bereprobates?" My friend, hold fast the word of life, that you mayrejoice in the day of Christ. Double check yourselves, that you're not runningin vain, or labouring in vain. God's promises of eternal life comes onlythrough and by the word of God, which is Jesus.
