Are you one of the millions today that does not believe inthe biblical doctrine of sinless perfection? Is it because you know you are notsinless nor perfect yourself? If that's your reason for not believing in thisdoctrine, then allow me to tell you that you are judging God's word to be wrongbased on your own sinfulness. Does your sinful condition prove Gods word to bein error when it plainly teaches the doctrine of sinless perfection? Are youaware of the fact that only the truth of Gods word can bring you to the stateof a perfect man? If you think or believe that you are not perfect does thisreveal that Jesus was in error by telling us to be perfect, as Matthew 5:48states? Why would he tell us to be perfect if it were not possible to achieve?.
Instead of disbelieving in the doctrine of sinlessperfection why don't you look at the scriptures that tells us how to beperfect, and then come to the conclusion of the matter? Can you deny the factthat Jesus tells us to be perfect when it's plainly stated by Matthew who was awriter and a follower of Christ? So be so foolish to judge Gods word to be inerror based on what you believe or what you think. Just because you know thatyou are not perfect does this prove all the scriptures that deals with thisabove are in error?
Before you jump to the wrong conclusion again, look at thisverse of scripture found in Hebrews 6:1 that says, "Therefore leaving theprinciples of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not layingagain the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,"
Notice the writer here is telling us to "go on toperfection" revealing the fact that he is speaking to the church, which aremembers of the body of Christ. If these people were already perfect, then thewriter would not have said what he did. Now if you believe that you are notpresently perfect, does this prove you never will nor can ever be perfect? Nowif you believe that you will never be perfect nor can ever be perfect, then youabsolutely never will nor can ever be perfect. But if you believe what Godsword says, even though you know that you are not presently perfect, then andonly then will God open your mind of understanding to let you see this truth.
We must learn to let God be true according to his word. andcount all men as liars until proven out by the word of God, but if you are notgoing to believe what Gods word says, then you are a hopeless case and Godcannot and will not help you. Now if you can read, then you cannot deny thatJesus tells us to be perfect, as stated in Matthew 5:48, so why can you notbelieve what he says? Is it not simply because you are not believing what Jesussaid based on the fact that you know at present you are not perfect? Does thismean then that you will never nor can ever be perfect? Is not Hebrews 6:1telling imperfect believers to go on to perfection? And does not the scripturesof our above text prove how we can become perfect? So all you would have to dois to begin believing what Gods word says about this subject, and forget aboutwhat man says about it. Putting your trust and belief in Gods word as stated ishow we come to the knowledge of any truth.
Its plainly stated by Jesus in Matthew 5:48 to be perfect, and its the writings of the apostles (especially Paul) that tells us how toaccomplish this task. It's when we believe Gods word that it will release apower in our life to do whatever it says. This is what Paul meant when he saidthese words as stated in Philippians 4:13 that says, " I can do all thingsthrough Christ which strengtheneth me." Paul saying "through Christ" he issaying that it's through belief and obedience to the word of God is whatstrengthens him. The gospel becomes the power of God unto eternal salvationonly to them that obey and believe it, but to them that perish it's down rightfoolishness. So start believing what Gods word says, counting all men as liars, and you will begin to see and understand things you never saw or understoodbefore.
