Scripture Reference: Ephesians 4:11-13

I have titled this article"Sinless Perfection" because the state of perfection contains no sinwhatsoever. We all were born into this world possessing a sinful nature thateventually led us all into a life of sin and rebellion against God. Sotherefore all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but if we come toChrist seeking for salvation and forgiveness of sin, he will definitely receiveus and begin a work on us that will in time conform us to the very image of hisSon (Christ) as Paul tells us. It says in Romans 8:29 these words saying, "Forwhom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image ofhis Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Do you have anyidea what it means to be conformed to the image of Christ? It simply means thatwe will be like Christ who was a perfect man that did no sin. But we have allsinned against God, but He will forgive all our sins and begin the process ofconforming us to Christ's image if we believe and obey his word taught and revealedin the teachings of Christ.

Christ is our examplemeaning we will be like him when God completes the work on us. The apostle Paultells us these words in Ephesians 2:10 that says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that weshould walk in them." Notice carefully where Paul said "created in ChristJesus" in this scripture. This "in Christ" means that we will be in the body ofChrist, and there is certainly no sin in his body, which is the church. Therewas no sin in his physical body, and so therefore it stands to reason thatthere will be no sin in his spiritual body, which is the one true church.

The apostle John tells usthese words in I John 3:5 that says, "And ye know that he was manifested totake away our sins; and in him is no sin." So there is no sin in Christ and ifany man be in Christ he is a new creature where old things (the sinful life)has passed away, and all things are become new, as stated in II Corinthians5:17. It is the work of the Spirit that baptizes a believer into the body ofChrist, as Paul tells us in I Corinthians 12:13 that says, "For by one Spiritare we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether webe bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

The Spirit baptizes us intoChrist in a daily process as he leads and guides us into all truth, and it willbe the cleansing and creating power of these truths that will conform us to thevery image of Christ. As we obey the leading of the Spirit into truth, it willbe these truths that will sanctify us from all inbred sin of both our flesh andspirit and thereby perfect holiness within us, as Paul states in II Corinthians7:1. This cleansing of sin from within us is how God has chosen us tosalvation, as Paul reveals in II Thessalonians 2:13 that says, "But we arebound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation throughsanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:" The Spirit reveals thetruths to us and its the cleansing power of these truths that will sanctify andcleanse us from all inbred sin. We must follow the leading of the Spirit intoall truth, which will be a daily process and it's up to us to do this. Paultells us these words in II Corinthians 7:1 saying, "Having therefore thesepromises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of theflesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Notice Paul saying "let uscleanse ourselves" from the filthiness of both our flesh and spirit, which isthe inbred sin that indwelled us all. For "us" to cleanse ourselves weabsolutely must continue in Gods word that does the cleansing from sin. Mostconfessing Christians today has been led to believe that they will forevercommit sin, even as they confess to be born again, but I John 3:9 plainly tellsus that those born of God do not and cannot commit sin. Those who confess to beborn again and still live in and commit sin has been deceived, but they willreject this truth even though Gods word written by the apostle John tells usthat those born of God do not and cannot sin. This is outright blasphemy andrebellion against Gods word and Christ will soon return to take vengeance onthose who don't truly know God and obey not Christ's gospel, as Paull tells usin II Thessalonians 1:7-9 saying, "And to you who are troubled rest with us,when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, Inflaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not thegospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlastingdestruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"

Many scriptures bear outthe fact that perfection is taught and demanded of God, but very few there willbe that will let God be true according to his word and count all men as liars;so what about you? Many say that they love God, but Jesus said "if you love mekeep my commandments." To keep Christ's commandments means to keep, obey. andlive by every word that proceed from the mouth of God. Don't be foolish enoughto deny the doctrine of sinless perfection just because you are not sinless andperfect, but rather let Gods word be true and he will open your blinded eyes tothe truth...
