Reference: Genesis 6:13-14
As we read the account of the flood duringthe days of Noah, it can be seen that there was only one place of refuge thatcould save an individual from the oncoming destruction of the flood waters.This one place was within the ark that Noah was told to build. Please noticethat Noah was warned of God about the coming destruction and he also was warnedhow he could escape from being drowned. Noah was told to build an ark of gopherwood and was to pitch it within and without so that it would withstand thewaters when it began to come upon the earth. According to the word of God, itreveals that Noah found grace in the sight of God and was a perfect man in hisgeneration. This of course means that Noah was a man that truly loved God andobeyed his every word as revealed in the old testament scriptures. In thosedays there were many thousands of people on the earth but Noah was the onlyperson that found grace in the sight of Almighty God. Noah began by faith tobuild the ark as God had told him to do. God gave to Noah the plans of the arkso that he could build it in a way that it would withstand the floods of thewaters which was about to come upon the surface of the entire earth. When theark was completed of which it took about a hundred years to do, Noah was toldto enter into the ark and to take with him his family, which included his wifeand his three sons and their wives.
He also took a certain number of every typeof animal of both the male and the female. When the waters came upon the earthevery living creature that was upon the face of the earth died. The only fleshthat was saved were the ones that were in the ark. In the ark was the onlyplace of refuge while every other living creature died outside of the ark.According to what Jesus said, the same conditions would again exist just beforehe comes back to this earth for the second time. There of course would not beanother flood to destroy all mankind, but yet there will come a destructionupon this earth that will completely destroy everything in existence. When thisevent begins to take place everything will be destroyed including everyone thatfailed to obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in II Thessalonians 1:7-9 thatChrist shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming firetaking revenge on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of ourLord Jesus Christ and shall be punished with everlasting destruction from thepresence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power... There is only one place of refuge where youwill be safe from this everlasting destruction and this place is to be inChrist. In Christ is the only place of refuge that will save you as it wasin the ark in Noah's day. The ark of safety today is to be baptized into thebody of Christ by the one Spirit as so stated in I Corinthians 12:13.If you are not in Christ then you will suffer the wrath of Almighty God when hebegins to pour out his anger upon this God rejecting world. Many are led tobelieve that they are in Christ but this belief is only based upon theirconfession of him taking him as their personal Saviour. Just to say you believeon Christ taking him as your personal Lord and Saviour does not place you inhis body making you a born again child of God. This is the number one lie ofSatan today to deceive you into failing to come to the knowledge of the truththat the Bible reveals. The Bible tells us that if any man be in Christ then heis a new creature where old things have passed away and all things havebecome new. Take a real good honest look at today's confessing christians andtell yourself if you can that they have become new creations where all thingshave been made new. If you are an honest and sincere person then you will haveto say that today's converts in the denominational churches are just as carnalafter they confess Christ as before they confess him as Lord and Saviour. Thisis because they are not being taught the truth of the gospel that will make newcreatures out of them. Only the revealed truth of the gospel will make you anew creature in Christ placing you in his body which is the ark of safety in theselast days. If you fail to receive the word of truth then you my friend will belike the people in the days of Noah that refused to believe that the flood wascoming on the earth to destroy it. The Bible tells us that Noah was a preacherof righteousness bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. (II Peter 2:5) WhenNoah began his ministry this brought in the destruction of the ungodly that wasupon the whole face of the earth. The same type of conditions will exist in thedays of the coming of the Son of man as told by our Lord in his word. The samemessage will again be proclaimed just before Christ comes to this earth thesecond time to claim his chosen few. This world today is in complete darknessconcerning the truth of the gospel of Christ. Satan who is the god of thisworld has the minds of the people blinded from the truth that the gospelreveals. The religious world today is led to believe that to confess Christ andtake him as their personal Lord and Saviour places them in the body of Christthus making them new creatures in him, but they are one hundred percent void ofthe truth that to be in Christ is accomplished by obedience to every word ofGod as revealed in the gospel of Christ. The gospel is the power of God thatwill transform the believer into the image of Christ in a progressive manner asit is received and obeyed. Today salvation is thought to be an instant work atthe altar or when one accepts Christ as Lord and Saviour. This is nothing morethan a deceiving lie of the devil to blind this world from the truth of thegospel in its fulness. The parable of the wise and foolish virgins will soontranspire thus proving that Satan had this whole world in his clutchesdeceiving them into accepting and believing less than five percent of the truththat the gospel contains. We are told that man must live by every word of Godbut today's confessing christian only takes a verse or two of scripture failingto continue on in the word that would have set them free from the power of sin.Many today confess to be christians but they are totally ignorant of the truthrevealed in the gospel. There is soon to come a time of awakening that willreveal to the religious world that it has failed to take oil in their vesselsthus causing them not to enter into the kingdom of God. The truth concerningthe righteousness of God will be received by a very few people today. Thistruth will place those who receive it into the ark of safety which is the bodyof Christ. Those who refuse to receive and believe it will be left outside tosuffer the wrath of God. What about you my friend??
