To seek for something means to search for it, but in order to find what you are seeking for you must seek for it within the vicinity of where you lost it. A cartoon clip showed a little boy searching diligently under a street light for a quarter that he had lost and another person asked him approximately where he may have lost it. The little boy told the person he lost it about a block away from where he was looking for it. Being quite puzzled the person asked the little boy why he was searching for the quarter a block away from where he lost it and the little boy told him that the light was better where he was looking for it. He would never of course find the quarter where he was looking for it simply because he was searching for it in the wrong place. And the same is true with a lot of people when it comes to seeking God in order to find him. Jesus said these words as stated in Luke 13:23-24 that says, "Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." These many that Jesus said would seek to enter in and shall not be able are those who are not seeking in the right place, as well as not seeking for the right thing. Millions of people claim to be saved today by merely believing on Christ accepting him as Lord and Savior of their life, but they are not doing what Jesus said as recorded in Matthew 6:33 that says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Thereare multiplied millions of people confessing to be saved in our day andage, as well as in times past, that absolutely has not first began toseek for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, as Jesus tells us.They have only confessed belief on Christ saying they have accepted himinto their heart and lives, but has failed to seek for Gods kingdom andhis righteousness. The kingdom of God is not something tangible that can be seen in  order to find it, but rather Gods kingdom is what Paul tells us as stated in Romans 14:17 that says, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." This righteousness, peace, and joy, is what we can have within us revealing that thekingdom of God dwells within our heart. Jesus said these words in  Luke 17:21 saying,"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, thekingdom of God is within you." To seek for Gods kingdom and his righteousnesscan only be found as we diligently seek for it within the pages of Godsholy word. The scriptures of Gods holy word is to instruct us inrighteousness that the man of God may be perfect, as Paul tells us inII Timothy 3:16-17 thatsays, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitablefor doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all goodworks." So to be saved and enter into Gods kingdom and to possess hisrighteousness, you must seek with all your heart in the scriptures of Gods holy word to believe and obey them.
