Scripture Reference: Mark 1:15
Jesus summed up the whole operation of the new birth, how tobe saved, and how to be born again, and how to become a new creature in Christ, and how to become a son of God in the last six words of the above scripture."REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL" is a statement that very few understands. Most people don't understand exactly what it means to repent, so most will endup in a state of dissatisfaction and confusion and fall into a lukewarmcondition only to be spewed out of the mouth of God. We are commanded to repentand if we don't truly know how to repent, then we will also end up having onlya form of godliness, and denying the power of salvation in our life. This iswhy so many millions of people who confess to be born again Christians stilllive in and commit sin in their daily lives. Sin in one's life leaves them inrebellion against God, because any sin is totally contrary to the nature of God.Most people do not believe that it's possible to be or to live without sin. Thereason for this is simply because they are totally void of the truth that wouldremove all sin from within their very being.
The same is true with the Biblical teaching of theperfection of man. Most will deny this teaching based on the fact that theythemselves are not perfect and they believe that they never will be perfect inthis life. Well as Jesus said, "Be it unto you according to your faith." If youdon't believe in perfection, then it's an evident fact that you will never beperfect in this life, even though Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:48 to be perfectas the Father in heaven is perfect. But if you have not achieved perfection inthis life and living soberly, righteous, and godly, then you certainly willhave no part in the new earth to come wherein dwells righteousness, as 2 Peter3:13 tells us saying, "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for newheavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." And the apostle Paulalso tells us in Titus 2:11-12 that says, "For the grace of God that bringethsalvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness andworldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world."Gods holy word clearly teaches perfection in this life, but it's plain to seethat the multiplied millions of confessing born again Christians today are notliving a perfected and holy life, because they still claim to be sinners livingin sin and rebellion against God. They have been deceived into believing thatGod does not see their rebellious sins, believing that the blood of Christcovers them. This belief is one of the top "doctrines of devils" that are sowidespread in the world today.
The reason why most people will end up in a state ofdeception is simply because they don't truly repent or turn from a life of sinand wickedness. They don't understand that to repent means to be willing toturn from a life of sin and take up your cross and follow Christ, as he bids usto do. You hardly ever hear a preacher telling the masses to repent from sin,but are only told to believe on Christ and accept him as their Lord and Savior. They are not commanded to repent from sin, but only told to ask God to forgivethem of their sins. God will not forgive you of your sins committed against himunless you are willing to turn from sin and begin to follow Christ who did nosin. Why should God forgive you of your sins knowing that you will stillcontinue right on in sin and rebellion against him? Genuine repentance involvesa willing mind to turn from sin, but this is not being taught in the deceivedreligious world today. The religious clergy today will only tell you to receiveChrist as your Lord and Saviour and certainly will not stress the importance ofturning from sin. They don't teach this simply because they themselves are inbondage to sin in their own lives.
How many preachers do you know that is taking revenge on thedisobedience of sin telling people the truth concerning it? Listen what theapostle Paul has to say regarding this as stated in 2 Corinthians 10:6 thatsays, "And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when yourobedience is fulfilled." Why should we come against sin and rebellion? Simplybecause it's keeps you separated from God as it separated Adam from God in thegarden of Eden. Why are all the millions of confessing Christians in the worldtoday still living in sin and rebellion against God? It's because the religiousclergymen are yet dead in their own sins and deceiving multipled millions, asthey are even deceiving themselves, as Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:13 that says,"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and beingdeceived." The religious clergy today has been deceived by the deceitfulness ofsin and they in turn teach their damnable doctrines that are deceiving themasses today by the multiplied millions. They don't teach repentance, becausethey have not truly repented from a life of sin themselves having been deceivedby one of the many false prophets doctrines that Jesus warns about in histeachings of Matthew 24:11 that says, "And many false prophets shall rise, andshall deceive many." These false prophets have come and gone, but theirdamnable doctrines are still being believed and proclaimed by the many falseteachers and preachers in the world today.
All you can do is to be willing to repent or turn from sin.Nobody can cease from a life of sin within their own power and ability. It'sChrist that must set us free from sins power, as John 8:34-36 states saying,"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sinis the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: butthe Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall befree indeed." Christ's death on the cross not only paid the penalty for ourpast sins, but he also imparts power over sin in our life as well. It was Paulthat said in Romans 6:14 these words saying, "For sin shall not have dominionover you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." He gives us powerover sin so that we can through and by that power destroy sin in our life thatwill make us more than a conqueror through him that loved us. Another doctrineof devils that's being preached today is telling people that Christ's deathpaid the penalty for all their sins they commit as long as they live. If thisis true, then tell me why we need power over sin for? If we can continue tocommit and live in sin after God has forgiven us all our sins we committedagainst him, then there would be no reason for us to have power over sin. Butwe need that power to destroy sin in our life, but this truth is not beingpreached by the deceived religious clergymen today as well as in times past. Ifyou are not willing to turn from a life of sin and take up your cross and dailyfollow Jesus who did no sin, then you will die in your sins and suffer theconsequences of the 2nd death in the lake of fire, as Gods word clearly teaches. So what must you do in order to cancel out an appointment with the 2nd death?Peter tells us as stated in Acts 2:38 saying, "Then Peter said unto them,Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for theremission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." The HolySpirit will then begin to lead and guide you into all truth that will in timeconform you to the image of Christ. (read Romans 8:29) It is my prayer thatwhosoever will read this article will be willing to repent, and take up yourcross daily and follow Christ who did no sin. Amen
