Scripture References: 2 Thessalonians 2:10-13

Can you not see how important it isto believe the truth of Gods word revealed in the Bible? As we look into therealm of the religious world today can you not see all the error that is beingproclaimed today? Is every teaching being proclaimed today the truth of Godsword? Surely you are not ignorant enough to believe that it is you? There is onlyone truth to any subject we find written in Gods word, but yet we findthousands of different ideas being proclaimed and there are millions that arefollowing and believing them. Does Gods word reveal exactly what a person mustdo in order to be saved? Of course it does, but listen to how the serpent isstill spewing out his lies that is causing people to believe that what God saysis a lie like he told Eve in the garden. God told Adam in the day he ate of thetree he would die, but we hear the serpent telling Eve that they would not die, which was a lie that she was deceived by. The common teaching we find among themany confessing Christian denominations today is just to believe on Christ andto accept him into their heart as Lord and Savior of their life, but that istotally contrary to the truth of the matter.

Look closely at these two verse ofscripture in James 1:21-22 that says, "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness andsuperfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, whichis able to save your soul. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." What does asking Christ into your heart have incommon with what James tells us in these scriptures? You must receive the manytruths of Gods word with meekness and to believe and obey hem in order to besaved; not just saying you receive Christ as your Savior. This teaching causesyou to believe only on the person of Christ, not realizing he is the word ofGod that must be received, believed, and obeyed to be saved. Can you not seethe difference in believing on the person of Christ and to believe what Godsword reveals? To believe on Christ means to believe that he is the Son of Godand that he died, buried, and rose again the third day, but to be saved andpossess salvation you must submit to his teaching and obey them. Look closelyat this scripture of Hebrews 5:9 that says, "And being made perfect, he(Christ) became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" Tobelieve on Christ is one thing and is very mush necessary, but to be saved canonly be done by believing and obeying this teachings found throughout the newtestament scriptures. The apostle Paul tells us the same thing in what he saidin Romans 1:16 that clearly says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel ofChrist: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." It's not just believing on the personof Christ that saves us, but rather it's belief and obedience to his gospel, which are his many teachings revealed throughout all the epistles of the New Testamentthat consists of twenty seven. To believe you are saved by mere belief on the personof Christ will close your mind and you cannot receive and of the many truths ofscripture that does the actual saving of your soul. This is exactly what hashappened to all the believers in the many denominational organizations today. Theyhave closed minds and cannot receive the truth of Gods word on any subject. Aclosed mind is set in what is believed thinking that what they believe hassaved them, but in reality it has deceived them and they don't' realize it.

If you cannot see how sin isdestroying people and keeping them separated from God, then you are definitelydeceived and believing lies to be damned. Read again the scripture text above(2 Thessalonians 2:10-13) and see how God will send you a strong delusion tobelieve a lie to be damned if you are not willing to receive the truth to besaved. Why in the world would God save a person leaving them in their sin whensin is down right rebellion against him? Chris came to "take away" sin; not tosave us "in our sins" like millions are believing today as well as in timespast. Why can you not understand that we must believe the truths of Gods wordrevealed in scripture to be saved when Paul makes it very clear inverse thirteenof the text that clearly states this? (2 Thessalonians 2:13) Did not Jesus tellus in John 8:31-32 that we would know the truth that would make us free if wecontinued in his word? You are not free from sin by merely believing on Christ, but rather you can be made free from sin by believing the teachings of hisgospel. Most believe that the gospel that saves is nothing more or less than abelief on his death, his burial, and his resurrection as stated in 1 Corinthians15:3-4. Let me show you how millions are being deceived by not seeing the truthrevealed in these scriptures. Notice carefully what Paul said in 1 Corinthians15:3 that says, "For I delivered unto you "first of all that which I alsoreceived" how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" Peopleare failing to consider what Paul said about the thirteen epistles that hewrote. OF all these epistles that Paul wrote that contains many truths, thetruth concerning the death, the burial, and resurrection was only the firsttruth that he revealed to them out of many that all his epistles contains, butmany has been deceived into thinking that the death, the burial, and theresurrection of Christ is what the gospel is that will save a person if theywill believe it. Paul did not say that belief on the death, the burial, and theresurrection of Christ is the gospel that saves, but rather its only a truthout of many that will save you. The truth concerning Christ's death, burial, and resurrection is what Paul revealed to them first, but certainly not all thehe revealed to them. The truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christis less than one percent of all the truth that was revealed to Paul that mustbe believed, as well as all the other truths revealed to the other disciples ofChrist that's contained in their epistles. Are you willing to believe the truththat will save you, or are you going to continue right on in your sin thinkingyou are saved as you enjoy the pleasures of them? If so, then so be it. Godnever has nor ever will force anybody to believe his word. The choice is yoursto make and no doubt it will be the last choice you will make.
