Reference: Revelations 17:3-5
Have you ever taken your own Bible andread in the seventeenthchapter of the book of Revelations whereit speaks about the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth? Have youever wondered about what this is referring to? Did you know my friend thatthese verses of scripture are speaking about a certain church and that thischurch has daughters and they are considered to be harlots in the sight ofAlmighty God? The Bible very plainly shows that the mystery Babylon church isnone other than the Roman Catholic Church with its headquarters being in thecity of Rome, Italy. Many people are aware of this but how many are aware ofthe fact as to what the harlot daughters are? This church has daughters and weknow that a daughter is an offspring of a mother. The daughter comes out fromthe mother. This reveals to us that the mother whore has harlot daughters thatare just as guilty of abominable practices as is the mother whore. If we wereto look back into history we can find that there were different organizationsstarting to come out and seperate themselves from the Catholic church. A man bythe name of Martin Luther began to protest against the Catholic church for thethings they were allowing their converts to do. The church sold indulgencesmeaning that the church allowed the people to indulge in sin as long as theypaid the church so much for them.
This was an abomination to God and also manypeople did not go along with it. Martin Luther began to protest against thechurch and he was excommunicated from the church. Luther began to preach whathe thought was the truth that the gospel reveals. His theme was that the justshall live by faith. His idea of living by faith was simply believing that onewas just to confess Christ placing their faith in the work of Christ on thecross etc. The Catholic church taught that a person had to earn their salvationthrough their works and efforts, but Luther began preaching that the just shalllive by faith. Luther never knew the truth of what it meant to live by faith.His theme was to cease from thinking that one had to earn salvation by worksthat the Catholic church was proclaiming. His idea of living by faith was asimple belief that a person was saved upon their confession of Christ as Lordand Saviour. Luther did not have the revealed truth of what it means to live byfaith as the gospel reveals it. To live by faith means to live by every word ofGod that the gospel reveals. Living by the word is living by faith which isrevelation of truth. The revealed truth of the written word must be revealed toyou by the Holy Spirit. Luther preached his own idea of faith thus failing tocome to the knowledge of the truth that the gospel contains. As time went on,many people began to protest the teachings of Luther. The followers of Luthercalled themselves Lutherans. A man named John Wesley began to preach his ideaof sanctification as being a second work of grace. Many people believed histeachings thus calling themselves Methodists. As time went on many differentbeliefs arose out of the idea of the sanctification theory. This organizationstarted by Wesley began to split up into many different groups with each groupdiffering in their belief etc. Today there are dozens of differentdenominations that teach the doctrine of the second work of grace calledsanctification. Around the turn of the century there arose another group ofpeople called the Pentecostals. This group also split up into many differentgroups with each one differing on doctrine. All down through the years manyorganized denominations arose and each one had their own idea of what truth wasand what truth was not. All of these denominational organizations alloriginally came out of the mother church which was the Roman Catholic Church.There are many different denominations with each one teaching their own ideaand version of what they believe is truth. The Bible tells us that the body ofChrist is not divided but looking at the denominational churches today we findthem all split on doctrinal beliefs. These denominational groups are calledProtestants... Each group protested the one before it. When a person differedon points of doctrine they would run off and they would start their own churchwhich eventually became a large denomination with many thousands of members.The word of God reveals that there is only one body of believers that make upthe one body of Christ. The one body of Christ is many members that each andeveryone believe and speak the very same thing. The true body of Christ is thechurch that is spoke of as being like a woman espoused to her husband. The truemembers are considered to be engaged to Christ and they will be called to themarriage supper of the Lamb. Christ will not take a bride that is a harlot andbecome married to it. The church that Christ will come for will be a gloriouschurch, one without spot, wrinkle, or any such blemish. The daughters of thewhore as spoken of in the book of Revelations will not be the bride of Christbecause they are called harlots meaning they are unfaithful to Christ which isthe word of God. The true bride to be will be a group of people that love andobey every revealed word of God. Every denominational organization in existencetoday will not receive and obey the truth of the word of God. The Bible saysthat the beast that John saw was full of names of blasphemy. Blasphemy is tospeak evil of the truth of the word of God. Every denomination in existencetoday are blaspheming the word of God as revealed in the gospel. The woman thatsat upon the scarlet coloured beast that was full of blasphemous names was theRoman Catholic Church and the blasphemous names are the denominational organizationsthat refuse to receive and obey the truth of the word of God. If you are partof a group that tacks a name over their doorway then you are part of a systemthat will suffer the plagues of God when he begins to pour out his wrath uponthem. The Bible says in Revelations 18:4 for you to come out of her and be not partakers of her sinsand her plagues. The Bible reveals that the Lord Jesus will gather the wheatinto the garner, but the chaff will be bundled and burned. The wheat are thosewho obey the word of truth and the chaff are those that refuse to receive andobey the truth of the gospel. The truth will purge the wheat but it will burnup the chaff with unquenchable fire. If you hate and despise truth then you arechaff for the burning and you will be bundled together with some denominationalorganization that blaspheme the truth of the word of God as revealed in thegospel of Christ. The churches today are blind, naked, miserable, wretched,poor, and they don't even know it. If you belong to some denominationalorganization then my advice to you is to come out of it and begin to read yourBible asking God to show and reveal to you the truth that will set you free. Aharlot daughter is a church that is not true to the word of God that the gospelreveals. Have you been baptized in Christ's name my friend, or have youblasphemed this simple principal of the doctrine?
