Let us first of all prove from Gods holy and infallible word that thedoctrine of perfection is definitely a teaching taught and revealed in Godsword, and then let us prove from scripture if the state of perfection issinless or not. Now you that don’t believe in perfection, based merely on thefact that you are not perfect and believe you never will, then this articlewill profit you nothing so don’t waste your time reading it. But to you that iswilling to let God be true according to his word, then maybe this articlehopefully may inspire you to study this subject out and see if Gods wordteaches it or not. Now is it not a fact that an unbeliever of Gods word willnot accept what the above three verses of scripture are plainly saying andrevealing? Look closely if you will at the above scriptures and you will findthat Jesus and both the apostle Paul and the apostle Peter is saying the verysame thing about this subject of perfection. Jesus himself tells us to beperfect, and Paul also tells us to be perfect, and Peter clearly tells us thathe (God) will make us perfect. Now keep in mind that only God can make aperfect man, but if you don’t think that God is capable of doing this, then youmay as well stop reading this article, because you too would just be wastingyour time. Now you that are willing to allow Gods word to be true and to havethe final say, is it not a biblical fact that perfection is clearly taught inGods word?

One does not have to be a rocket scientist or the wisest man onearth to read the above scriptures to come to the conclusion that perfection isdefinitely a doctrine taught in Gods holy and infallible word. Since Gods wordclearly establishes the fact that the doctrine of perfection is a biblicalteaching, let us now find out if the state of perfection is a state of beingwithout sin or not. Let us first of all look at what Jesus said as stated inMatthew 5:48 that says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father whichis in heaven is perfect.” Notice carefully that Jesus is telling us to beperfect even as his Father in heaven is perfect. Now how would you define theword “perfect” when it relates to the Father as Jesus said? Webster’sdictionary says that the word perfect means “to be complete in all respects,or flawless.” In other words it means that something that is perfect cannotbe improved on to make it better. When it comes to Almighty God we certainlyshould know and understand that he himself is totally perfect and anything hedoes will also be done just as perfect as well.. Everything about God and whathe did and what he does is perfect in every detail. When Jesus tells us to beperfect, even as the Father is, he certainly did not mean that we would be in alesser degree of perfection that the Father is. And we should also know that aperfect God definitely has no sin. So we can say that as far as God isconcerned he is sinless and perfect in every detail of his total being. So weshould have no doubt whatsoever to believe that sinless perfection woulddefinitely pertain to God in every respect, but what about the perfection ofman? To find this out, let us refer to the first man Adam, that God had createdas revealed in the first chapter of the book of Genesis. In Genesis 1:26 wefind these words saying, “ And God said, Let us make man in our image, afterour likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over thefowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over everycreeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Adam was created in both theimage and likeness of God, but very few people has taken into considerationwhat it meant when God created Adam in his own likeness. Adam was “like God”in so far as his nature was concerned. There was absolutely no sin inAdam’s physical body whatsoever simply because sin had not yet entered into theworld through Adam. The apostle Paul tells us this in Romans 5:12 that says, “Wherefore,as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passedupon all men, for that all have sinned.” So Adam was created sinless, perfect, and holy, as God was sinless, perfect, and holy as well. But when Adamdisobeyed the command of God and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good andevil, Adam lost his state of sinless perfection and fell into a life of sin andrebellion against God.

Seeing and hopefully understanding that God made the first man sinless, perfect, and holy, then why can he not do that again? Look if you will again atwhat I Peter 5: 10 that says, “But the God of all grace, who hath called usunto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, makeyou perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” Notice that Iunderlined what Peter said that God would do, which was to make us “PERFECT”did he not? Since God made the first man sinless and perfect, then pleasetell me why he cannot do it again. The truth of the matter is that God made thefirst man Adam sinless and perfect, but it was 4000 years more or less laterbefore he was going to make other men perfect and sinless as well. Adam was thefirst man that was like God in so far as his nature is concerned. God is holyand we are told to be both holy and perfect as well. It was Peter that saidthese words stated in I Peter 1:16 that says, “Because it is written, Be yeholy; for I am holy.” The truth of how we can be holy and perfect is notaccepted by the religious world today because of what Peter said in I Peter 4:1that says, “1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in theflesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered inthe flesh hath ceased from sin.” This is a truth that is being rejected, but nevertheless it’s clearly taught in Gods word. The three scripturesat the beginning of this article clearly proves the doctrine of perfection, which will be performed on all believers of the one true church, which is thebody of Christ. Now listen to what Jesus has to say about being perfect asstated in Luke 6:40 that says, “The disciple is not above his master: butevery one that is perfect shall be as his master.” Did you hear what Jesussaid telling us that the disciple is not above his master? Would you believe itif I told you that multiplied millions of confessing Christians today areactually making themselves better than Christ? Let me first of all tell youthat they sure don’t teach nor believe that they are like Christ who did no sinright? They make themselves better than Jesus who did no sin, but they docommit sin and strut around like stuffed peacocks telling everybody that theyare born again. The apostle John tells us these words in I John 3:9 saying, “Whosoeveris born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and hecannot sin, because he is born of God.” Can you not hear millions of peopleclaiming to be born of God and still live in and commit sin? These people areactually making themselves better than Christ, because we are told in Hebrews5:8 these words saying, “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience bythe things which he suffered.” Did Jesus live in sin? Was he a minister ofsin? No he was not a sinner nor a minister of it, but listen to the millions ofconfessing Christians in the land today confessing to be born again sons of Godand still living in sin and they will tell you that they do. If this is notmaking them to be better than Christ, then what is? Did not Jesus tell us thatthe disciple is not above his master? Millions are making themselves betterthan Christ without them realizing it, because deception has blinded their eyesfrom the truth of Gods revealed word. But there is no excuse for anyone to bedeceived away from the truth of Gods word.

Yes Gods word clearly teaches the doctrine of sinless perfection, but ifyou don’t want to believe it, then so be it and suffer the consequences of thesecond death. He that has an ear to hear let him hear what the Spirit is sayingto the churches..amen
