Scripture References: 1 John 5:7 and Mark 12:29
It seems that most people if not all believe there is but one God, but to examine exactly what they believe concerning this will reveal that many actually believe there are three. Its the trinity doctrine that so many are believing today that actually reveals that they are believing in three Gods and not just one as they think. The word "trinity" is a word that is not found written in the holy scriptures of Gods word, but this fact alone does not disprove the doctrine of a triune God, and it does not prove the doctrine of a triune God. The apostle Paul tells us these words stated in I Thessalonians 5:21 that says, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." We must prove from scripture that the doctrine of the trinity is either a true or a false teaching or else we will be relying on our own understanding of the matter. Since Jesus himself tells us in the above scripture of Mark 12:29 that the Lord our God is one, then our endeavor to prove this point should be focused on trying to prove that God indeed is one God and not a triune God like many believe. The word "triune" and "trinity" is not used in the scripture of Mark 12:29, but the word "one" is. The scripture of Mark 12:29 does not say "Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is a triune God" does it? Saying there are three persons in the Godhead is actually saying there are three Gods and not just one. If you are going to refer to God as a person, then how can three persons make one person or one God? Are three people or persons one person? This cannot be computed as being a fact, but can only be erroneously believed.
Threepeople or persons are not one person as you should very well know, butyet many believe that the one God is three persons or three people.Three persons are three people that does not share the same DNA nor dothey have identical finger prints. The word "person" refers to a humanbeing whether they be male or female. We are taught in scripture thatGod is a Spirit, and a Spirit is not a person. Are the angels referredto as people or persons? No they are not, because the words people andpersons does not refer to God or angels they refer to human beings.Another scripture found in I John 5:7 is a scripture that also is notunderstood by many, This scripture says, "For there are three that bearrecord in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and thesethree are one." This scripture does not say there are three PERSONS, orthree DEITIES, or three BEINGS, or three ENTITIES, or three GODS, butrather it uses the word "three" which is reference to the three wordsused; which is (1) the FATHER, (2) the WORD, and(3) the Holy Ghost. Inother words the one God is the Father, he is the Word, and he is theHoly Ghost.
The"three" that bear record in heaven, which is the FATHER, the WORD, andthe HOLY GHOST, these three words used here are not personal names aswe very well know. Each of these three words used is reference to theone God and certainly not a reference to more than one God. To analyzeeach of the three words of this scripture it will clearly reveal thatthe one true God is the Father, he is the Word, and he is the HolyGhost. Why is the one God referred to as the Father? He is the Father, because he fathered or created all things. He is the father ofcreation. When God created Adam he was referred to as the son of God,as Luke 3:38 states saying, "Which was the son of Enos, which was theson of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." Adamwas a son of God by direct creation of God and since Adam was a son ofGod, then God was his spiritual Father. We know that the word FATHER isnot a name, but is a word that refers to God that fathered all things. If a person has truly been born of God, as scriptures teach, then Godhas become their heavenly FATHER, because he has spiritually made themhis son. The WORD is found written in John 1:1 that says, "In thebeginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word wasGod." The Word spoken of here was not Christ until the Word was madeflesh in the person of Jesus Christ. So before the Word was made flesh,John tells us that the Word was with God and was God, right? If youbelieve that the Word that was in the beginning was with God and was aGod being a different God, then this would reveal two Gods. Do you havea problem believing that the Word that was with God in the beginningwas the one and only God? God and the Word of John 1:1 is reference tothe self same one God.
Nowthe Holy Ghost, which is also the Holy Spirit is reference to the selfsame God, because God is both Holy as well as a Spirit. God is a Spiritand he is holy, and so therefore the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLYGHOST are all the self same Spirit of God and not three differentpersons, deities entities, or Gods, like many believe today. If Godconsists of being three persons, then each person would be a spiritmaking three Spirits, but Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:4-6 these wordssaying, "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called inone hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God andFather of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Thetrinity doctrine teaches that the three persons of the Godhead arethree separate beings making one God, but three separate persons orobjects cannot possibly be one person or one object. The trinitydoctrine is a teaching that can only be accepted and believed, but itcannot scientifically or biblically be proven to be true. Can anyoneprove that 2x2 is five? You can believe that it is, but you cannotprove that it is. So millions of people are believing lies when itcomes to the truths of Gods word revealed in scripture.
Nowherein the entire word of God that consists of two covenants does it teachthat there is more than one God, but to believe that God is a triuneGod consisting of three separate entities or persons, then you arebelieving in three Gods and not one as you think and believe simplybecause separate objects or beings cannot possibly be one single objector one single being. Jesus said, "The Lord our God is one; not three. All you need to consider is that I John 5:7 is not referring to threeseparate persons or beings, but is simply revealing that the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost is the one and only true God.
