Reference: Ephesians 4:8-14
There are many people who may believe inthe doctrine of perfection, but to believe and teach that this perfection canand must be reached in this life will not be accepted and believed by very manypeople in the world today. The average person today has been led to believethat Christ is coming to this earth to perfect his church, but God's word oftruth plainly teaches that he is coming for a church that has already beenperfected.
This church that he will come for will bea church without spot and without blemish, but very few people will accept thisas the truth that God's holy word teaches. The simple truth concerning thismatter will not be accepted because most people today is too busy admittingthat they are living in and comitting sin. Although the Bible teaches that sinshall not have dominion over the true born again child of God, the averageconfessing christian will absolutely refuse to accept the truth aboutperfection in this life.
The blind religious leaders in today'sdenominational churches are teaching their converts that if a person believesin obtaining perfection in this life, then one would be elevating themselfhigher than the Lord Jesus Christ. Now friend, if you are one that disbelievesthe teaching of perfection in this life, you are in reality the very one who iselevating yourself higher than our Lord Jesus.
I say this simply because of the fact thatthe word of God tells us that Christ being a Son learned obedience by thethings which he suffered. Don't you realize that Christ had to be obedient andkeep the laws of Almighty God? If Christ had to keep God's word why then do youthink you can call yourself a son of God and openly admit that you live in andcommit sin? Now friend, what you are not being taught by your religious leadersof your church is the fact that it's Christ that lives the life for us if weare truly born again of the Spirit of God.
Did not the apostle Paul tell us that thelife he lived in the flesh was lived by the faith of the Son of God? Did he notsay that it was Christ in him that lived his life for him? To be perfectedsimply means that we become perfect in our mortal bodies and it will be himthat will be manifested through us.
When the Bible speaks about a perfect man,this perfect man is none other than Christ Jesus our Lord. The word of Godplainly reveals to us that a born again child of God is a person that Christhas been formed in. No man apart from Christ being formed in him can live aperfect sinless life like Christ did. Jesus Christ was the only man that everlived a sinless life. This is why he must live our life for us. If you willlisten to the religious leaders in the world today you will hear them say thatno confessing child of God can live without sin in their life. This statementis one hundred percent proof that the Lord Jesus Christ is not in them.
If you will listen real close to theaverage confessing christian today you will hear them confessing that Christ istheir life, but with the same breath they will tell you that they yet commitsin and that nobody can cease from it. Now friend, this should easily let youknow that Christ is not in them no matter how much they may say that he is. Doyou belong to a group that denies that a person can live without sin in theirlives?
If a person can't live without committingsin in their life, then doesn't this easily prove that Christ is not in them? Aperfect man is a person that Christ has been perfected in. Christ can only beperfected in us by our walking in and obeying the truth of God's holy andrighteous word as revealed in the gospel. Is it not a fact that today'sreligious organizations are teaching that they become new creations in Christwhen they accept Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour?
If this be true why then do they yet teachthat sin will be manifested in the christian's life? If they are new creaturesin Christ, how then can Christ commit sin, seeing that God's word teaches usthat Christ is the life of the born again children of God? Now since sin is yetvery active in today's confessing christians, doesn't this easily prove thatbecoming a new creation in Christ is a position we come to as we walk in andobey truth in a daily process? The apostle Paul's confession of being a bornagain child of God very plainly lets us know that the Lord Jesus will be theone that will live in and be manifested in and through our mortal bodies. Now Iwant you to know that if Christ is our life then it has to be the same Jesusthat lived a sinless life in times past or else it's not Christ in us at all.God's word as plain as the nose on your face tells us that Christ gave thegifts of the ministry to men so that man can come to the fulness and stature ofa perfect man.
The ministry of the five mentioned giftsare for the sole purpose of perfecting the saints till they come to the unityof the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, filledwith all the measure and stature of the Lord Jesus Christ. These scripturesplainly reveals that we grow to perfection, but the religious world today isteaching that they became new creations in Christ when they confessed belief onChrist accepting him as their own personal Lord and Saviour.
The stature of a perfect man can only bereached as we walk in and obey the truth of God's holy word. Since God's wordis holy, this lets us know that his word will make us holy. We are told thatman must live by every word of God, but to teach the truth about perfection,most people will not accept it, because to do so, one will have to reprovetheir life that they are living. Jesus said that men love darkness more thanlight and for this cause they will not walk in the light as it is being shownto them.
The truth of God's word lets us know thatwe can live without sin simply because of the fact that it will be Christliving our life for us and not us in our own feeble power. People today willnot accept this truth because it reveals to them that they have to do somethingabout the sin that's in their lives. Anytime you refuse to walk in the light oftruth you are actually telling Almighty God that you don't want to live arighteous life. Are you guilty of this, friend??
