Reference: Acts 26:15-18
Many people in the world today are bothignorant of what the power of God is and what the power of Satan is. There aremillions of people today who are captive to the power of Satan and most of themdo not realize it. Many people today are held in captivity to Satan's powerthinking they are the true born again children of God. Jesus told some peoplein Mark 12:24 that they were ignorant of the scriptures and also of whatthe power of God is. This is yet true today with most people. If you areignorant from the truth of what the power of Satan is and how he can keep youcaptive to his ways and ideas then the chances are that you are in his clutchesnot truly realizing it. The apostle Paul tells us that the servant of God mustwith meekness instruct those that oppose themselves in hopes that God will givethem repentance to the acknowledgement of the truth in order that they mayrecover themselves from their way of error that Satan has them held incaptivity. (read II Timothy2:24-26) Many peopletoday think that the power of God is only manifested through and by great workssuch as healing the sick, casting out devils etc. This of course is very truesaying that God's power can be manifested through these great manifestations ofworks but the most important manifestation of the power of God is for it to bemanifested in the life that we live. Most people today live a life of miseryinstead of a life with peace and happiness.
Jesus tells us in his word that hecame to give us life and that more abundantly. Looking at all the heartache andsorrow that this world is so filled with can easily reveal to us that the powerof God in the lives of millions is missing. People who believe that the powerof God is only manifested in great works do not have the power of God in theirlife that will give them peace and satisfaction. In the lives is where thepower of God is most needed today. I say this because most people do not havethe peace and rest that Christ offers them. Jesus said for all that areburdaned and heavy laden to come unto him and he would give them rest, but fromthe condition that this world is in easily proves that Christ is not in thelife of most people. Today there are millions of people claiming to be bornagain children of God, but I can guarantee that ninety some percent of them arevoid of the peace and contentment that Christ offers them as stated in hisword. This is because Satan has most people trapped in what they believe to bethe true gospel of Jesus Christ. Satan has snared the greatest majority ofpeople giving them a false concept of what true salvation actually is. Jesustells us in Matthew 7:24-27 that those who hears his word and does what it states thenthey will be like a man that built his house upon a rock. A house that is upona rock wil be able to take the storms that try to tear it down. A house that isbuilt on the sand will not be able to take the storms because it's foundationis not strong enough to take the terrific force of the weather. The same istrue with every person that claims to be born again child of God. If you failto hear and obey the true gospel of Christ then you won't be able to take thestorms that this life has. When things go wrong you won't be able to take itlike you would if you were a child of God that possessed the power of theSpirit in your life. The reason why you won'tbe able to take the storms of lifeis because you are not hearing and obeying the one true gospel that Christbrought to this earth and taught it to his disciples. Satan through his many ministersare deceiving the people giving them a false gospel instead of the true gospel.The word of God tells us that Satan comes only to destroy and to tear down.Satan's job is to keep you from the truth because he know that if you hear andreceive the truth then you will find the true peace and joy that Christ offersto them that come to him. Take a good look at today's realm of the religiousworld and tell me if you can that you think they have the peace and contentmentthat Christ offers. The churches today cannot supply the needs of the peoplebecause the church itself is void of the truth that would do the very thing.There are many preachers today that claim to have the ability to do the worksof God such as casting out devils, healing the sick, speaking in tongues etc.but these type of preachers are totally ignorant of the truth that will set youfree and give you the peace and happiness that Christ spoke about? Are you onethat claims to be a born again child of God but the life you live is like beingin hell? Great signs and wonders can never give you the peace and happinessthat Christ spoke of in his word. Only the truth will give you perfect peacewithin your heart and life. This world is void of the peace and happiness thatChrist said he came to give and the reason for this is simply because of thefact that they do not have Christ in their lives like they think they do. Youare told in your local church that all you have to do to receive Christ in yourheart and life is just to confess him and accept him as your own personal Lordand Saviour. This is why you are void of the true peace and happiness thatChrist offers to them that come to him. When things do not go as they shouldyou find yourself without the power to overcome the situation as to whatever itmay be. The word of God reveals in Psalms119:165 that"great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offendthem" Can you truthfully say that there is nothing that can offend you?Can you say that you have power over all the power of the enemy, which is Satanthat is constantly trying to destroy you? Is Satan doing a pretty good job ofdestroying you both spiritually and physically? If he is then what you need todo is to get out of the church that you belong to and begin to receive and obeythe truth that will absolutely set you free from his power. Satan has thegreatest majority of people bound by his power keeping them from the truth thatwill set the captive free, but the church today will only bind you more tighterkeeping you from the truth that will set you completely free. I am trying toprove that I am telling you truth not based on the fact as to how many miraclesI can perform by the power of God like most false prophets are doing today.Examine yourself to see if Christ is in you. If you are helpless and prone toSin and Satan then you my friend are not where you think you are. If you try toprove yourself by signs and wonders like the many false prophets and teachersare doing today then allow me to tell you that Satan will have a field day withyou by keeping you miserable and prone to his power. How can you have peace andhappiness when the least things upset you???
