Reference: Hebrews 9:1-10

In the above scriptures found in the bookof Hebrews, we find the apostle Paul using the old testament pattern of thetabernacle in his attempt to try and explain how it is possible for anybeliever to enter into the place called the Holiest of all. Paul tells us thatthe tabernacle of the old testament covenant had within it, two places wherethe service of God was accomplished. These two places were seperated by veils.Within the first veil was the candlestick, the table, and the shewbread. Thisfirst veil was called the sanctuary.

After the second veil was the place thatwas called the Holiest of all. Within this area of the tabernacle only the highpriest was allowed to enter. We are told that in the first tabernacle thepriests went to accomplish the service of God. But in the second tabernacle thehigh priest went alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered forhimself, and for the errors of the people.

Within the second veil was the place whereAlmighty God met with the high priest. Nobody else could enter into this place, because this was where God dwelled. The Bible tells us that the way into theHoliest of all position was not made manifest while the first tabernacle wasyet standing. The old testament tabernacle was only a figure for the time thenpresent, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not makehim that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience.

No matter how perfect the old testamentordinances were followed, this absolutely could not perfect the worshippers. The things that the people had to do did not reveal to them that they weregrowing or getting stronger in the Lord. The old testament covenant stood onlyin meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed onthem until the time of reformation.

This time of reformation was of coursereferring to the coming of Christ that would bring grace and truth. Christ cameand revealed the mysteries of the kingdom of God. The coming of Christ did awaywith the old testament covenant and a new one was brought in. The veil of thetemple was rent in two when Jesus died on the cross. This renting of the veilsignified that the law came to an end and a new covenant came into being. Thisnew covenant was what Christ came and revealed. When Christ came, he beganpreaching the gospel of the kingdom. Christ began to reveal the mysteries ofthe things concerning the kingdom of God. We are told that the law was given toMoses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

These truths that Christ began proclaimingis the revelation of how we can enter into the Holiest of all. This Holiest ofall position is the place that man can enter into and is the place ofperfection. We are told that the old covenant can not perfect a person. If theold covenant could make a man perfect then there would be no reason to bring inanother covenant.

The new testament covenant will perfect aperson if it is received and obeyed. In order to receive and obey the newtestament covenant then it must be revealed to us by revelation of the HolyGhost. The revealing of the truths that the gospel contains will transform thebelievers life from a life of darkness and spiritually place them in thekingdom of God.

These truths can only be revealed to aperson that sincerely fears God and desires to know him in a greater way. TheBible tells us in Psalms 25:14 that "The secretof the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them hiscovenant." There seems tobe very few in the world today who can see the truth of God's word. Findingpeople who can see the truth that becoming a child of God is a progressivething that must be reached through a daily process is a very hard thing to do.

Everybody has been led to believe thatsalvation is something that is received in an instant of time, but God's wordreveals that we grow to the stature and the fulness of Christ as we walk in andreceive the knowledge  of the truthcontained in the gospel. The Holiest of all position is the mark for the prizeof the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. This must be the goal of everyconfessing child of God, but most today has been  led to believe that perfection cannot be achievedin this life that we live in. Anyone who is led to believe that perfectioncan't be achieved in this life is revealing that they are void of truth notknowing what it is.

The truth of God's word revealed in thenew covenant will perfect a person and transform them into the very image ofJesus Christ. We are told in Romans 8:28-30 that God has predestinated some to be conformed to the veryimage of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are told that whom he did predestinate, themhe also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom hejustified, them he also glorified.

Therevealed truths of God's word is for the sole purpose of conforming thebeliever into the very image of Christ and we are told that if any man be inChrist he is a new creature and old things are passed away and all things arebecome new. This "in Christ" position is exactly what the word of Godcalls "the Holiest of all". Entering into this position is the workof the Holy Spirit in the believer's heart. The Holy Ghost leads us into all truththat the gospel contains and our obedience to the truth will perfect us inChrist.

There are very few people in the worldtoday who can see the truth of God's word. To know the truth means that you cansee and understand that perfection can be reached by obedience to the truth asthe Spirit reveals it.

Christ became a high priest and enteredonce into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us. We are toldin Hebrews 5:8, 9 that, "Though hewere a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And beingmade perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them thatobey him." To obey Christis to obey the revealed word of truth. Christ is the WAY, the TRUTH, and theLIFE.....
