I have titled this article as you can see, “The Hated Doctrine of Sinless Perfection” and believe you me it is a very hated doctrine. Is there much being said about this doctrine among the religious world today? Well if you go to a search engine on your computer and type in the words “Sinless Perfection” there will be thousands of web sights that will have a lot to say about this subject and most if not all of them will blast this teaching as being a false doctrine of the devil. But as you read this article let me inform you that since we know that the gospel itself can be perverted, then you should realize that certain teachings can be perverted as well. Paul tells us these words stated in Galatians 1:6-7 that says, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel; Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” As you probably know there are different views being taught concerning this subject of sinless perfection that is not in harmony with what the Bible truly has to say about it. Just because there are different teachings concerning the doctrine of sinless perfection, this does not prove that it is not a doctrine taught and revealed in Gods word. There are different reasons why most will not accept and believe this doctrine, which is a very simple doctrine that can be proven to be very scriptural. One reason is simply because they know they are not perfect and they believe they will never be perfect as far as this life is concerned.

These people have confessed to be born of God for different lengths of time and have been believing a certain doctrine concerning Gods word. Since what they have been believing has not caused them to believe in sinless perfection, then it stands to reason that in most cases they will not abandon their belief and accept what Gods word clearly teaches on this matter. Well let me say right here that according to your faith so be it. Why do many deny the doctrine of sinless perfection? The greatest majority do, because of what they are believing, which is either the truth of Gods word or lies that are thought to be Gods word. Now let us hear what the apostle Paul has to say about those who will not accept and believe the truth of Gods word. In II Thessalonians 2:10-13 it says, “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.” So its plain to see that God has chosen us to salvation his way, which is through the sanctifying power of the Spirit and belief of the truth. This being true, then we better know and understand that what we are believing is the truth of the matter or not. You will find out as you read many different ideas about the subject of sinless perfection from the many web sights on your computer, that most if not all of them will not accept exactly what the KJV version of the Bible has to say about this. And there will be many that does not believe that Gods word does teach the doctrine of sinless perfection. What they have done that has caused them not to believe in the doctrine of sinless perfection, they have taken certain words out of the KJV Bible and replaced them with another word that they think should have been used by the early translators. As an example listen to what Jesus said about perfection in what he tells is in Matthew 5:48 that says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Many will say on their web sight that the word “perfect” can also be a word meaning “complete” or “mature” which is nothing more than an attempt to bring down the word “perfect” to a lower level of meaning. What they have done, perhaps without realizing it, they have also brought down the spiritual condition of God himself, because we all should know that Almighty God is perfect in every detail. Now since we are told to be perfect even as God is, then can you not see that its best to leave the word “perfect” in that verse of scripture knowing that it describes the spiritual condition of God himself? We are to be in the same spiritual state of being as God is, which is definitely a state of perfection, but to say the word perfect means complete or mature, then you would be saying that God is not perfect, but is complete or mature, which is nothing but an attempt to bring down a holy God to the lower level of a common man. Listen to what Gods word has to say about adding and taking from the holy Bible of Gods eternal word. In Revelation 22:18-19 that says, ”For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Whether you know it or not friend, there is a great play of words by the religious clergy today that is taking away certain words and adding words to Gods word that will doom your soul eternally. If you truly believe that God is flawlessly perfect, then you will have to believe also that we too must be perfect as he is, or else Jesus would not have told us to be perfect as he is. And by the way, did not the apostle Peter tells us to be holy as he is holy? (I Peter 1:16) Is there different degrees of holiness? So let me show you the simple truth about the doctrine of sinless perfection and prove that it is definitely a truth taught in Gods holy and infallible word.

First of all we need to know what the spiritual condition is of a perfect man, whether he still possesses sin, or whether he will be sinless or without sin. Lets consider the first man Adam that God had created to find out what his spiritual condition was before he fell into sin and rebellion against God. Was Adam a sinless man before he disobeyed a command of God that caused him to fall into sin and rebellion against God? How could Adam have sin in his very being when sin had not as yet entered into the world, as Paul tells us in Romans 5:12 that says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” When God created Adam he did not put any sin in him; he was totally without any trace of sin until he disobeyed Gods command and thereby the sin that entered into the world entered into his total being that consists of a body, a soul, and a spirit. Adam became totally depraved when sin entered his being. Now what would God have to do in order to make Adam a perfect and sinless man of him again? All God would have to do is to take away the sin that infested his being; and how was God going to do this? Listen to what John tells us in John 1:29 that says, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Jesus Christ came into the world to destroy the sin that totally infested all mankind. Listen again to John that said in I John 3:8 these words saying, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” How does Christ take away our sin? Does he do it simply by forgiving us all our sins that we have all committed against him? No, because to be forgiven of sin, that does not remove the sin within us. Sin can only be removed from us by it being “cleansed” from within us. Listen to John again tells us in I John 1:7 these words that says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” This cleansing from sin is being cleansed from the sin within us, and how its cleansed, is a revealed truth that has been hidden from the minds of mankind for hundreds of years. its the truths of Gods word revealed by revelation of the Spirit that does the cleansing of all inbred sin. Did not John tells us this in what he said in John 17:17 that says, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” And did not Paul tell us this also in what he says in Ephesians 5:25-27 that says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Gods holy word cleanses us from inbred sin as we walk in the light of it. Just to be forgiven of our sins we committed against God does not solve our sin problem. Sin within our mortal body manifests itself outwardly in our life, but if there is no sin within our mortal body, then how can it continue to manifest itself outwardly in our life?

Let me show you how Christ takes away our inbred sin. Let me first say that Christ is the one that cleanses us from sin, which is an inward work of destroying the root of sin that was deeply rooted in all of us when we were born into this world. Remember how John told us in John 1:29 that Christ came to “TAKE AWAY” our sin, but let me say it like this. Christ came to “UPROOT” our sin. Is it not a fact that no problem is solved unless we get to the “root” of the problem and destroy its root? A good example of this is like dealing with weeds in our lawn. Is a weed problem solved just to cut the weeds down with a lawn mower? No, why? Because the weeds will continue to grow, because its roots is what causes the weeds to continue to grow as it continues to be nourished by the nutrients from the soil that its growing in. But what will happen if we pull up the weed by its roots, or to put weed killer on it? It will die and wither away, because its roots has been destroyed and can no longer grow. Let us apply these principles spiritually to the problem of sin. The religious world deals with sin “AFTER” its committed asking God to forgive them each time they continue to sin, but this does not solve their sin problem simply because its not getting to the root of the problem. They will forever more continue to sin as long as that sin remains in their mortal body and as long as they live in an unconverted state without truly possessing Christ in their heart. But if Christ is truly in us, it will be him that deals with our problem of sin. Listen to what Matthew 23:25-26 tells us saying, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.” What Jesus reveals here is how sin within us will be destroyed and thereby cut off its flow outwardly in our life. Notice he said to “CLEANSE FIRST“ the inside of the cup and platter (referring to our fleshly body) that the “OUTSIDE” (referring to our outward life) may be clean also. In other words he is telling us not to deal with sin after its been committed by continuing to ask God to forgive us, but rather we must first be cleansed from the sin that dwells within us.. Did not Paul tells us these words stated in Romans 7:18 that says, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.” That no good thing that dwells within us is sin, which is a very persuasive and powerful force that easily over rides the will of man and causes him to do things contrary to the ways and will of God. Paul in Romans 7:14-24 describes his unconverted condition before Christ intervened in his life giving him the needed power to overcome and destroy sin within his mortal body. The religious world believes that Paul was never set free from sins bondage, but what he says in Romans 7:24-25 easily disproves that blinded observation. Paul said these words as stated in Romans 7:24-25 that says,” O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Since Paul is asking who shall deliver him from the body of this death, this clearly proves Paul was still in bondage to sin up to that point, but what he went on to said in verse 25 clearly reveals that he was set free from sins bondage. He clearly reveals in this verse that Jesus Christ set him free. And notice he then said that with his mind he will now serve the law of God, but then he said with the flesh he served the law of sin.

To further prove that Paul was set free to serve Gods law, look at what he said in Romans 7:23 that says, “But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” Can you not see here in verse 23 that at this precise time Paul could not serve the law of God with his mind, as it was being brought into captivity to the law of sin and death in his flesh? But notice carefully that in verse 25 Paul is saying that now with his mind he will serve the law of God. If Paul was not set free from sins power, then he would not have said with his mind he now serves the law of God, because sin would still have power over him and could not overcome it without Christ’s intervention in his life.

Now let me show you the simple bottom line truth as to how and why sinless perfection is taught in Gods word. Let me ask you this question, “Was Christ a sinner that lived a sinful life as he lived on this earth for thirty four and one half years? No, he lived a perfectly sinless life, which nobody else did except Adam who did until he fell into sin and rebellion against. So we can say that “the life of Jesus Christ” was and is a perfect and sinless life as well as an eternal life. Now listen to what Jesus said in John 10:10 that says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” We are clearly told here that Christ came to give us life, which is an abundant life. This life that he came to give us is his own sinless and eternal life. We know that this sinless and eternal life was manifested in and through the person of Jesus Christ. Now let me ask you this question, “What kind of life would be manifested in and through our mortal body if we possessed his life in our mortal flesh? Would it not be the same sinless life that was manifested in his own fleshly body when he was a man of flesh that lived on this earth hundreds of years ago? Christ came to give us his life and it will be his life that will become our manifested life as we continue to live on this earth until death. So what I am saying is that “WE” cannot live for Christ, but rather Christ came to live for us. In other words it will be the perfect and sinless life of Christ that will once again be manifested in the flesh (our flesh) Did not Paul tell us this saying in Galatians 2:20 that says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Is not Paul telling us here that’s its Christ who lives our life for us? And listen again to Paul that tells us these words in Colossians 3:3-4 that says, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Is not Paul telling us that our life (which is a sinful life) is hid with Christ in God and Christ has become our life? Does this not prove the doctrine of sinless perfection?? Sinless perfection is Christ in us the hope of glory and a matter of fact our only hope of glory. Its not us living a sinless life, but its his life being manifested in and through our mortal body. Listen to Paul prove this in what he said in II Corinthians 4:10-11 that says, “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” We must die in order for Christ to take over the reigns of our heart and life. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” We are that corn of wheat that must die in order to produce the fruits of the righteousness of Christ. I John 3:7 “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” The perverted Calvinistic doctrine teaches that they have the imputed righteousness of Christ and are counted righteous on Christ’s behalf and God cannot see their sins, even as they continue to call themselves sinners as they continue on in sin and rebellion against God. (hypocrisy in its highest form)
