Looking up the definition for the wordbelieve, we find the dictionary saying that it means to accept something asbeing true. If you do not believe something to be true then you will reject itas being a false and misleading statement. You cannot reject something to betrue unless you have some sort of knowledge to cause you to think otherwise. How would you know if what someone may have said was the truth or not if youhad no facts to prove it to you? As for myself I cannot accept anything to betrue unless I have sufficient evidence to convince me of its truthfulness. I donot believe that all things I hear is proven to be true or false based only onthe fact that I have confidence in the person that is telling me of the thingto be true or not. Some things can be accepted as being true or false but whenit comes to the things pertaining to the word of God, I will not acceptanything to be true or false based only on what someone may say about thesubject placing my confidence in the person that tells me the thing inquestion. Anyone that accepts something to be true or false without knowing forsure that the word of God backs it up is placing their confidence and trust inthe arm of flesh and not in Almighty God and his word. We are told in Jeremiah 17:5 that a personis cursed of God if they place their confidence in the arm of flesh, departingfrom the trust in the Lord.

Most people today believe certain things to berevealed truths of the gospel placing their confidence in their church leadersthinking they have the truth without being positive that it is. Your faith mustrest in God's word which is proven by your love for it. A person who does notplace their trust in the word of God is a person that does not love the word ofGod with all their heart. If you do not love the word of God then you do notlove God, because God is the word. Your unconcerned attitude toward the Bibleproves where your trust is resting. If you are a true believer of the word ofGod being one of God's sheep, you will receive the word with meekness which isable to save your soul from death. You should be able to understand that notall who say Lord, Lord, are true disciples and followers of Jesus Christ. Jesussaid that many false prophets would rise and deceive many in these lastremaining days just before Christ comes back to this earth the second time. Iknow for a fact that many people are being deceived by false prophets and teachersnot being able to descern  the falseteachings from the true teachings. Satan is able to deceive many because of thefact that he know that most people will believe anything they hear not beingconcerned enough to make sure it is God's revealed truth of the gospel. You maysay that what you believe has just as much of a chance of being truth as what Imay believe. My friend, if you base what you believe in this manner then youhave been deceived already. Have you ever wondered how there can be so manydifferent ways being proclaimed from the Bible seeing that there is only oneway that leads to eternal life? Are you the type of person that thinks thateverybody in all denominational churches are going to the same place, struggling to serve the same God of heaven? My friend, if you cannot see themany false teachings that the religious world is so filled with, then it'sbecause you are part of it, traveling down the broad way that leads todestruction. If you are a true believer then you as a sheep will follow andobey the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the true shepherd. The voicethat the true sheep will obey and follow is the true word of God that thegospel reveals. Jesus said that his sheep will hear his voice and they willfollow him wherever he goes. He also said that his sheep will not follow astranger. A stranger is a person that is void of the truth of the gospel. Thereare many stangers in the land today claiming to be the shepherd, but a closelook at what they teach will easily prove they are false. Anybody that can readat all can see that the word of God plainly reveals that a person must repentof sin and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as so stated in Acts 2:38. The true sheepwill hear that command and they will repent and be baptized in the name ofJesus Christ asking no questions about it because they know that obedience isbetter than sacrifice. A false prophet and teacher will twist the word of Godsaying it means this or that etc causing many to be deceived. A true believerwill take the word like it says and will not try to make it say what it doesnot say like the many false prophets are doing today. The false teachers willblaspheme the truth telling you that Peter was in error or that Jesus did notsay that etc. Do you think that Peter was in error when he stood up on the dayof Pentecost and told the people to repent and be baptized in the name of JesusChrist for the remission of sins and the Holy Ghost would be given? Why don'tthe religious world do what is stated here instead of coming up with a dozendifferent ways that this is supposed to mean? I don't know why you won't dowhat is stated instead of searching for a way to avoid it, making it say whatit does not say. Where in the word of God does it say that you must speak intongues to receive the Holy Ghost? Why then are you following the strangersthat say you must? If you are one of God's sheep then you will say amen to whatthe word says and obey it, but if you are not one of his sheep, then you willsearch desperately for an excuse not to do what the word simply says to do. Theword says to be baptized in the name of Christ, and you will not fight thistruth if you are a true believer. An unbeliever will not obey the simple wordas it is stated. The word of God reveals that the baptism of the Holy Ghost isnot an emotional experience either evidenced with or without tongues, and ifyou are a believer, then you will know that the baptism is a progressive workwrought by the Spirit through the revealed word of God. A true believer willreceive every word that the gospel reveals and not just accept a verse or twothinking they are saved like the religious world does today. A true believerknows that to be saved by grace through faith means that you can only be savedby the grace of God as he reveals the truth your heart and mind. The falseteacher's number one doctrine today is the belief that confession on Christreceiving him as Lord and Saviour makes you a born again child of God themoment you confess to believe. You are denied ninety eight percent of what thegospel reveals by your accepting a false teaching of a perverted gospel. If youare a true believer, then you will not call everyone that disagrees with whatyou believe a deceiving liar of the devil like most do today. If you are a truebeliever you will say amen to the word no matter what everybody else may thinkabout you.....
