Scripture Reference: HEBREWS 7:19
Lets begin this part of our study on sinless perfection withthe very first man that God had created, which was Adam. Did you know thatbefore Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that he was aperfect sinless man in every detail? And did you know that before Adam ate ofthat fruit that their was no sin in the world? Since at that time there was nosin in the world, then does it not stand to reason that within Adam's verybeing there was no sin in him? God certainly did not create Adam with sin inhim. The apostle Paul tells us these words as stated in Romans 5:12 saying,"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and sodeath passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" When sin entered into theworld where do you suppose it took up it's residency? In outer space somewhere? In the atmosphere perhaps? Did it spread itself on every square inch of theface of the earth? Or perhaps floating around on all the oceans, the seas, thelakes, the ponds, and rivers?
In case you don't know where sin is, and where it took upit's residency, then let me tell you that sin took up it's resting place inmankind. This is what meant when he said these words as stated in Romans 7:18that says, "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no goodthing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good Ifind not." Sin entered first of all into Adam and Eve and when it did theyinstantly became infested with sin in their total being that consists of abody, a soul, and a spirit. Adam having been created perfectly sinless, nowbecame totally infested with sin that began to corrupt him. And just howcorrupt had mankind become after sin entered his very being? Genesis 6:12 givesus the answer to that question by saying, "And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth."
When Adam sinned against God by eating of the tree of theknowledge of good and evil, he lost his state of perfection and became totallyenslaved to the sin that entered his very being. God had clearly warned Adam ofthe consequences that would happen if he ate of the tree. In Genesis 2:16-17 wefind Gods word saying, "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of everytree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge ofgood and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatestthereof thou shalt surely die."
God did not tell Adam that he would die a physical death byeating of the tree, but rather it was a spiritual death that would separate himfrom God, which was the sin that he fell into. Every human being born into thisworld by the physical birth is born spiritually dead or separated from God,because all are born possessing a sinful nature. When Adam fell into a life ofsin, he became spiritually separated from God and no longer had fellowship withGod, as he did before his fall. God did not destroy Adam because of hisdisobedience, but rather he had devised a plan that would bring man back intofellowship with him. This plan is first mentioned in Gen 3:15 that says, "And Iwill put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." The seed of thewoman referred to here is a direct prophecy concerning the coming of Christthat would reveal this perfect plan of salvation that will redeem fallen manfrom a life of sin and back to the state of perfection that Adam was in beforehis fall into sin and separation for God.
We can only have perfect fellowship with God with no sin inour life, as Adam did before he sinned against God. So all God has to do is toremove the sin that infested mankind and this will bring him back into perfectfellowship with him once again. It would be a perfect redemption plan thatwould do this, but it was not revealed to man before Christ came to this earth. This plan was to be revealed in a covenant that Christ himself was the mediatorof and is referred to as the New Testament covenant. This plan of redemptionstarted after Christ came to be baptized of John in the river Jordan. In John1:29 we find these words saying, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming untohim, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of theworld." This was of course speaking of Jesus who was to take away this sin.Christ came specifically to save us from sin so that we can have perfectfellowship with God. We can have no fellowship with God whatsoever with sin inour life, because sin is disobedience and rebellion against God.
Christ came to destroy sin in our life and Christ is therevealed Word of God that was made flesh, as John 1:14 states. So it'sobedience to Gods holy word that will completely destroy or eradicate sin inour life bringing us back into perfect fellowship with God. But Satan hasdeceived countless millions from the truth concerning sin and the churchdeceiving them into believing that sin is not the issue to be concerned about. He has them believing that Christ's blood covers their sin and God does not seethem or hold them responsible for them, but sin is and will always will be whatkeeps man separated from God living in direct disobedience and rebellionagainst him. It's only the pure unadulterated truth of Gods holy word that willsolve your sin problem and bring you into perfect fellowship with God, but thetruth like as always has been perverted by the many false Prophets doctrinesthat's so prevalent in the world today. So listen to all the blasphemy we heartoday against this subject of sinless perfection that has been accepted by themasses today. What about you, are you one that has blasphemed this truth thatGods word so clearly teaches and reveals? If so, then do as Paul says (if youcan) in I Corinthians 15:34 that says, "Awake to righteousness, and sin not;for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." If you arestill in bondage to sin please remember this, "John 8:34;36 Jesus answeredthem, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servantof sin. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
