Reference: John 17:20-23
According to the word of God, the body oftrue believers is made up of many members that make up one body. If we were tolook at the denominational church world, which organization would you say wasthe one true body of believers that all the members were in one mind and oneaccord in what they believed? Do you believe that the religious world todaywhich is made up of many different denominations are all in one mind and oneaccord in belief and doctrine? The Bible tells us that the body of Christ isnot divided in more than a dozen different ideas and opinions. Every church inexistence that has a certain amount of members within it are not in one mindand one accord no more than darkness is with light. The true body of Christ isnot divided but rather all the members are in one mind and accord speaking andbelieving the very same thing. Take a good look at the Baptist organization andyou will find more than twenty different groups with each group teaching thingscontrary to the other. Each single group with its certain amount of members arealso not in one mind and one accord among themselves. There are many differentgroups in every denomination and each teach things contrary one to the other.This positively without any doubt proves that they are not the body of Christbecause Christ is not divided like all the denominational churches are. If youwill go to any denominational church you will find that there is usually onlyone or two people within each congregation that takes part in the service theyhave each day they congregate.
These are usually the pastor and the songleader. The Bible reveals that each and every single member has a work to do.Each member is placed in the body of Christ is placed in the body by AlmightyGod himself. This means that each member has a work to do. Each member isplaced in the body and is given the ability to perform some position within thebody. The position that each and every individual will have is up to them tofind out for themselves. Jesus said in his word found in Matthew 7:21 that noteveryone that says Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of God but rather it willbe those that do his will. To do the will of God is what each and every singleperson must find out as to what the will of God is for their life. In order todo this we are told by the apostle Paul in Romans12:1-2 that we must present ourselvesunto God as a living sacrifice holy, and acceptable, unto him so that we wouldknow what the will of God for our life is. You will positively never know thewill of God for your life unless you present your body unto him as so stated inRomans 12:1-2. The revealed truth of the gospel is the only thing thatwill prepare you as a fit subject unto God so that you can be used of him.Unfortunately most people will not receive and obey the revealed word of truththat would present their ownselves as a living sacrifice to know the will ofGod for their lives. The religious world today made up of many denominations donot have the revealed truth that will make them one body that all will speakthe same thing. This is because the doctrine being proclaimed within themcannot bring them together as being one mind and accord. Only the truth ofGod's word can bring each and every member to the same mind with all speakingthe same thing. The truth of God's word is creative that transforms the mindpurging out all carnality from within it. The religious world today has only aknowledge of the written word instead of the revelation of the word. Thewritten word cannot renew the mind of the believer making each and every memberone in Christ because the word alone without the Holy Spirit teaching the revealedtruth of it will not be of any affect on a person. The truth of the gospel willmake all those who receive it to become one mind and one accord in Christ.God's word of truth is powerful and will renew the mind and does not fill themind with a head full of knowledge. The doctrines being preached in today'schurches will not convert the members because the truth is not being proclaimedwithin them. If you believe the Baptist doctrine you will become a Baptist. Ifyou believe the Pentecostal doctrine you will become a Pentecostal. If youbelieve the Catholic doctrine you will become a Catholic. But if you believethe apostles doctrine you will become a christian. The truth of the gospel willnot cause you to call yourself by some sort of a name like the denominationaldoctrine do. The apostle Paul stated in his writings that many call themselvesfollowers of Apollos, some of Cephas, and some of Paul etc. He called thesetype of people being carnal. Look at the denominations today and you will findeach one declaring to be of this or of that etc. He then says is Christdivided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul?Paul knew that they were yet carnal as corn because they were not following andobeying truth. They were followers of false teachers like most are today. Ifyou would take a survey of the church today you will find that each group issplit in more than a dozen different groups among themselves with each teachingthings different. The members of today's churches have their names on thechurch book but they are not converted to Jesus Christ, but rather to thechurch doctrine. Salvation is an individual affair with each individaul, buttoday's churches are built with many members with all being divided on what istruth and what is not. Many members of the churches today are completely voidof what is being taught behind the pulpit. Most don't know what their churchteaches. This is mostly because their church doesn't teach anything anyway. Allthey have is their little programs such as their ice cream socials and pinkelephant sales etc. How in God's name can silly things such as this transformthe mind bringing them one in mind and accord with Christ? The church today isin the exact condition as stated in Revelations3:17. They are wretched, andmiserable, and poor, and blind, and naked, but they don't even know it. TheBible tells us that Christ will present to himself a glorious church, onewithout spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that it should be holy and withoutblemish. This church will be made up with only a few that will be in one mindand one accord. Jesus said that few would find the strait and narrow way thatleads to life. The true body of Christ will be made up of members that willbelieve the same thing and there will be no division among them. Those whoclaim to be in the body of Christ will receive and believe the truth or elsethey will be taken out of the body. Many people today are losing interest inbecoming a true child of God and this is because they are not zealous enough tocome to the knowledge of the truth. Satan is causing some to fall out by hismeans of causing them to lose interest. Patience is the key that will firmlyestablish the believer in Christ. You must lose your life to find eternal life.
