Reference: Hebrews 5:8-9
The Bible tells us in John 2:9 that salvationis of the Lord. Make no mistake about it my friend, salvation is given to manthrough and by the sovereign grace of Almighty God. Reading the above verses ofscriptures, it is easily seen that Christ is the one that brought the plan ofsalvation down to fallen man. Have you ever wondered my friend why there seemsto be so many different ways being proclaimed in the world today about thesubject of salvation? Are you the type of person that thinks that all oftoday's denominational organizations are all preaching the salvation of God andthat everybody is serving the very same God? Whether you believe it or not myfriend, there is absolutely only one true way of redeeming salvation that theBible reveals. I want you to notice that the Bible tells us that Christ becamethe author of eternal salvation to all them that obey him. Are you aware of thefact that to believe on Christ's name accepting him as your Saviour, and toactually obey him is very much two different things altogether? The commonbelief and teaching in the religious world today is that salvation is receivedwhen you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. My friend, do you honestlythink that God's great and wonderful gift of salvation is received based on thefact that you may have confessed to have accepted Christ as your personalSaviour? Please allow me to inform you that God's wonderful and marvelous giftof salvation is all wrapped up in Christ, but if you think that you receiveChrist in your heart and life just because you say that you accepted him asyour own personal Saviour, then I want to let you know that you are beingdeceived from the truth that the gospel truly, truly reveals about the subject.
How is it possible my friend, for you to receive Christ into your heart andlife by just your saying that you accept him as Saviour? Christ is certainly asaviour, but to tell you the plain truth of the matter, you do not truthfullyknow how Christ saves a person. I hope you will read this article all the waythrough because I want to show you the simple truth of what it means to besaved and how you are saved. Did you know my friend, that you can know how tobe saved but just knowing how it is done does not save you? Don't get the ideathat I am telling you that you have to earn your salvation because I am not.What I am trying to get you to see is the fact that you must be obedient to theword of truth in order that you can be saved. What obedience is connected withthe fact that you may have confessed Christ as Saviour? Christ has become theauthor of eternal salvation to those that obey him. Do you know what it meansto obey Christ? Are you aware of the fact that to obey Christ means that youhave to obey the word of God, which is Christ? Did you know that Jesus saidthat man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth outof the mouth of God? The word of God does tell you to believe on Christ, but doyou think that this is all that a person has to do in order to be saved? If yousay that you believe on Christ and that you have accepted him as your Saviour,why then do you fail to obey his word revealed in the gospel? Did you know thatthe word of God are words of instruction? The Bible says in II Timothy 3:16-17that all scripture is inspired of God to instruct us in righteousness that theman of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.... Why do you call Jesus Lord, Lord, and fail todo what he tells you to do? Maybe you think that it is none of my business howyou live and what you may think about salvation. I will tell you truthfullythat it most certainly is none of my business as to what you think and believe,but it is God's business whether you know it or not. I am telling you whatGod's word says about the situation. If you don't like what the Bible has tosay then you take up the matter with Almighty God. Friend, you would be athousand times better off if you never hear the truth as to hear the truth andfail to do anything about it. God has a perfect plan of salvation that willredeem you back to him as man was in before he fell prone to sin's power in thegarden of Eden. This plan consists of revealed truths concerning the kingdom ofGod. Christ came and revealed the mysteries to the twelve disciples and they inturn wrote these mysteries in the book we call the Holy Bible. Your obedienceto Christ will open your eyes of understanding of the things that the gospelcontains. Jesus said that, "ye shall know the truth and the truth shallmake you free." The one true way that leads to eternal life is your comingto the knowledge of the truth that the gospel reveals. There are many waysbeing proclaimed today but only one way is the right way. You will never knowthe true way unless you are willing to obey Christ, which is the revealed wordof God. You cannot receive nor understand the things of God until you receivethe gift of the Holy Spirit in your heart and life. You must come God's way or elseyou will never be saved. Our ways and thoughts are not God's ways and thoughts.Jesus said that no man can come to the Father except they come through him. Tocome through Christ means that you must go to the word and obey it. The wordwill purge your conscience in order that you can serve the living God. (Hebrews 9:14) Youmay tell me that it is Christ's blood that cleanses the sinner from sin and notthe word. You are ignorant of the fact that Christ shed his blood for the NewTestament which is the power of God unto salvation. Christ's death andresurrection brought into effect and power the gospel, which is the newcovenant that will perfect the believer that receives and obeys it. Christ'sblood put the seal of approval on the gospel. This is what it means for thegospel to be the "power of God" unto salvation to them that believe.God's word is the power that will make you a new creature in Christ, but it isfoolishness to them that do not believe it. The word of God very plainly statesthat you must repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for theremission of sins, and you SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. You canobey this command or else you can blaspheme it to high heaven, calling it falsedoctrine of the devil. You will positively never receive the gift of the HolyGhost until you obey God's word. The Bible says that the Holy Ghost is given tothem that obey him. (read Acts 5:32) How can you dodge this simple fact my friend? All that Ican tell you is to obey and be blessed or disobey and be damned. The choice isyours my friend. Nobody will twist your arm and make you go to the river andget baptized in Christ's name. If you are one of God's sheep you will hear hisvoice and you will obey it. I am not trying to force God's salvation on you. Ifyou want to go to a devil's hell it is nobody's business but your own. Jesussaid that this gospel will be preached in all the world as a witness againstall nations. He did not say that it will be preached to all nations so thatthey all will be saved. You are going to hear it one way or another so that youwill be without excuse at the judgement. Noah preached to the people and warnedthem of the oncoming destruction but how many heeded his warning?
