Reference: I Timothy 4:1-2

As you begin to read this article I wonderif you are aware of the facts as to how false and misleading doctrines areallowed to come into being, and how these doctrines are originated. Did youknow that there are reasons as to why false doctrines are springing up all overthe entire earth? Have you ever considered what basic facts lead to many falsedoctrines that the word of God very plainly reveals that will be in these lastremaining days that we are now living in? I am quite sure that false doctrinesare not originated by the false prophets with their minds knowing the fact thatthey are not proclaiming the truth. The apostle Paul tells us that evil men andseducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (read II Timothy 3:13) Iwant you to notice carefully in the above scripture that Paul is saying thatevil men shall wax worse and worse, but the astonishing fact is that they aredeceiving themselves as well as those that will take heed to them. These evilmen and seducers are inspired of Satan but, they themselves do not realize it.A deceived person is tricked by Satan to receive false doctrine and teach it.If you will check closely the doctrines in the land today you will see that themajority of them base their teachings on the fact they are saying that God hasrevealed to them the doctrine by direct revelation. When I say by directrevelation,

I mean that they are saying that God has revealed to them what theyteach without them going to the scriptures and prayerfully studying them as thevery word of God says that we must. God's holy word tells us to study to showourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightlydividing the word of truth. ( II Timothy 2:15) The false prophet will say that they have received adirect revelation from God apart from having studied the holy scriptures inorder that the Spirit can reveal the knowledge of the truth to them. The apostlePaul very plainly says in Ephesians 3:3-5 that Christ by revelation made known to him the mystery ofthe kingdom of God, and that we also can come to this knowledge as we readthe scriptures that was written by him having been inspired of God. Nowtake a good close look at the modern day so-called prophets and preachers andlisten to them say how God sent an angel to them and revealed the gospel tothem. Why would God send an angel to them when his very word says that we cancome to the knowledge of the mystery of Christ as we read and study the holyscriptures? Are you one that will allow God to be true and every man a liar or are you one that will believewhat man says and by-pass the word of God which is the true source of truth?Does not the very word of God say that it is impossible for God to lie? Wouldit not be a fact that God would be a liar if he revealed truth to man by directrevelation and by-passing the studying of scriptures as his very word plainlyreveals? There are many people in the land today saying that God did not revealall truth to the early apostles, but is it not a fact that the apostle Paulsaid that he did not shun to declare all the councel of God to those hepreached to? (read Acts 20:27) If Paul preached the whole councel of God, meaning that hefully revealed the entire plan of salvation that God gave to Christ, why thenwill you believe anyone that says that they received revelation apart fromcareful study of the already written truths of the kingdom of God? Is it not afact that a man declared that he was revealed certain truths by heavenlyangels? There are thousands of people believing  his doctrine thinkingthat God still reveals more and more truths as time goes on since the day ofPentecost. The word of God certainly reveals that there will be true prophetsand apostles even in the endtime as the final day draws closer and closer, butthis does not prove that they will be revealed more additional truths that theBible does not already reveal and has already been written for ourunderstanding as we read and study them being taught the hidden mystery by therevelation of the Holy Spirit that has been given to them that obey God. Goddoes reveal truth, but this he does as we study the scriptures. The Holy Ghostis given specifically for this very purpose as stated in John 16:13. Anybody thatsays that God has revealed revelation to them apart from the study of thescriptures is proven to be false and in direct contridiction to the very wordof God. I do not say that God does not reveal certain things to some people, but I do say that concerning the doctrine, you must read and study thescriptures to be shown the truth of the mystery of the kingdom of God. God canreveal many things to man by direct and inspired revelation such as revealingsomething that has been lost etc. If God is to reveal the truth of the plan ofsalvation then he will lead us to his written word and open our understandingto them. A man named William Branham also stated that an angel was sent from Godto him and revealed certain truths concerning the book of Revelations, but thisalso is proven to be in contridiction to the word of God about receivingrevelation of truth. The truth of the gospel was revealed to the early apostlesand they wrote these revealed mysteries in the book we call the Holy Bible etc.If all the councel of God was not revealed to them then I am sure that thewriters of the New Testament would have made mention of it in their epistles. Many people are being deceived by men that are saying that the prophecy of Malachi 4:5 proves that aman will be sent of God in the power of the prophet Elijah and reveal thingsthat was not revealed to the early apostles. They may be right in so far assaying that this man will reveal things that was not known of the earlyapostles, but this cannot mean that these things will pertain to salvation, because of the fact that this plan was already revealed to the chosen apostlesof Christ at the begining since Pentecost. I certainly believe that the truthof the gospel will be preached again before the second coming of Christ, butthese truths can only be revealed from a source that has already been written. This source is of course the Bible that we already have. False prophets todayare on the rampage proclaiming things that the word of God does not reveal, butthe average person cannot see this fact and is mostly based on the fact thatthe world is so filled with false teachings that the truth of the gospel hasbeen lost. God's word has always been here, but very few have the knowledge ofit. The Bible tells us that the word of God will never pass away which is verytrue, but this doesn't mean that everybody will know the truth of it, butrather it simply means his word will always be, whether anyone understands itor not. There are millions of copies of the Bible, but how many knows the truthof it?? The truth will be revealed to them that love and desire it, but veryfew are willing to obey it when it is revealed to them. The truth will kill outthe carnal man, but men love darkness more than light and for this cause manywill fail to truly know Christ in power and his resurrection.
