Scripture Reference: I John 3:9
You may be one of themillions of people that claims to be born again, but what the apostle Johntells us above is a description of those who are born again. This scriptureclearly tells us that whosoever is born of God they "DO NOT" and further more"CANNOT" commit sin. Now are you going to be one the many that will ignore whatJohn says here and go on your way to a devils hell, or are you going to let Godbe true according to his word? Any person who claims to be born again and stillcommits sin, then they certainly are not born again, but most will not believewhat John says simply because they know they commit sin and so therefore theywill have a hard time believing they are not born again. Those who still livein and commit sin confessing to be born again has been deceived into believinga false teaching on this subject. Am I trying to deceive you into not believingyou have been born again, or is it Gods word that is trying to convince you ofthe truth of the matter?
To disbelieve what Godsword says and to believe something contrary to it is to believe a lie. A lie iswhat the serpent told Eve in the garden. Did not God clearly tell Adam thesewords stated in Genesis 2:16-17 that says, "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree ofthe knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day thatthou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." God clearly told Adam that he woulddie the very day that he ate of the tree, but did not the serpent tell Evethese words as stated in Gen 3:4 that says, "And the serpent said unto thewoman, Ye shall not surely die:" When Eve gave the fruit of the tree to Adamand he did eat, did he die like God said or did God lie about it? Did Adam diea physical death when he ate of the tree? No he did not, so does this provethat God lied and the serpent told the truth about it? No God did not lie, because Adam died just like God said, but Adam did not die physically, butrather he died a spiritual death into sin and lost fellowship with God.
So why did Eve believe theserpent and eat of the tree? She was deceived into believing the lie that theserpent told her. And millions today are also believing the many lies ofSatan's ministers that has deceived them into believing a teaching that is contraryto the truth of Gods word. What are you going to do about the scripture of IJohn 3:9; are you going to ignore it because you know you commit sin and yetsay you have been born again? Why are there so many today believing they areborn again and yet commit sin? The answer to this question is quit simple; theyhave been deceived by the lies of the false prophets doctrines, but they areseemingly to proud to admit it and so therefore they will end up in the lake offire instead of allowing Gods word to be true. It's a biblical fact thatanybody that commits sin and still claims to be born again is being deceivedand if they are not willing to let God be true and count all men as liars, thenGod cannot and will not help them. You must be willing to let Gods word be trueor he will let you go right on believing a lie to be eternally damned. Godsword clearly reveals that those born of God do not and cannot commit sin, so ifthere is sin in your life it's an evident fact that you are not born again. Most fail to understand that to be born again is a process that takes time toaccomplish. Call to remembrance the converts in the church at Corinth; did not Paul tell them to wake torighteousness and sin not, as stated in I Corinthians 15:34 that says,
"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to yourshame." Paul was speaking to members of the church that had not yet been bornagain where they did not and could not sin. Just because they were committingsin, this does not prove they were not followers of Christ being members of hisbody, which is the church.
These Corinthians werecommitting sin and according to I John 3:9 they were not as yet born againwhere they did not and could not sin, but they certainly was not born againbecause those truly born of God do not and cannot commit sin. But if you aregoing to deny what John says about it, then God will turn you over to areprobate mind and you will be damned just like his word says. Anybody who saysthey are born again, but still commit sin in their life they have been deceivedby believing a false teaching on this subject. What is being taught in today'sreligious organizations on how to be born again? Is it not just to believe onChrist and accept him as Lord and Savior and they believe they were born againinstantly? And many are told to repeat a prayer and if they did they were toldthey were born again, but that is not what the Bible teaches on this subject. So what does Gods word teach concerning how to be born again?
In order to understandthis truth you must first realize you are a person that consists of a body, asoul, and a spirit. When Christ truly comes into your heart, it purifies yourheart, as Acts 15:8- 9 tells us saying, " And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And putno difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith." This"purifying of the heart" only takes care of one section of your total beingthat consists of three. This purifying of the heart cleanses all of the eviland wickedness that it contained, but it did not touch the sins of your fleshand spirit. Paul reveals in Romans 12:1-2 that after the Spirit comes into theheart and purifies it of all sin, we must now present our body to God holy andacceptable unto him, which is our reasonable service to do. And verse two tellsus to have our minds renewed. We do this as we follow and obey the Spirit as heleads us into the many truths revealed in Gods word.
It's the revelation ofthese truths that completes the operation of the new birth as we believe andobey them. Obeying these truths will crucify the flesh cleansing it from allinbred sin, and at the same time these truths will renew our minds thatperfects holiness in the fear of God as Paul tells us in II Corinthians 7:1.These promises mentioned here are the many truths that Christ was filled withwhen he came to this earth to began his ministry, as John 1:14 reveals saying,"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, theglory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Thistruth that he was filled with are the many truths revealed in the scriptures ofthe new testament covenant.
If we walk in and obey thesetruths they will in time conform us to the image of Christ, as Paul tells us asstated in Romans 8:29. So the new birth is accomplished on our total being thatconsists of a body, a soul, and a spirit as we walk in the light of truth, as IJohn 1:7 reveals. But listen to what is being taught in the confessingChristian world concerning how to be born again and you should be able toclearly see that they have not been born again simply because they still commitsin and even confess yet to be sinners. Christ came to save us "from sin" andnot "in sin" like they think and believe. If you are willing to believe andtake God at his word, then God will give you repentance to the acknowledging ofthe truth and you can recover yourself from the snare of the devil, as Paulreveals in II Timothy 2:24-26. Make no mistake about it, you must be born againto enter Gods kingdom, and those that have been born of God does not and cannotcommit sin, as I John 3:9 plainly reveals. So have you truly been born again,or are you still stumbling around in your sin only to end up in a devils hell?
