Reference: Luke 17:26-30
Would you believe it my friend, if I toldyou that as it was in the days of Noah, and of the days of Lot, that the verysame conditions are prevailing in the world today? Are you familiar with theaccount of what the Bible says about the conditions that existed in the dayswhen Noah lived upon this earth? The word of God tells us in Genesis 6:1-5 that, all fleshhad corrupted itself upon the whole face of the earth. The Lord God said thatthe wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of thethoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Is not this the very samecondition prevailing today in our society everywhere you look? What do you seewhen you pick up a newspaper, and read the the headlines? All you can see isviolence on every hand. Are you in the condition that the people were in thedays when Noah preached the last message to a world that was on the verge ofdestruction? Are you aware of the fact that Noah warned the people about theoncoming flood that was about to destroy every living creature upon the face ofthe earth? You may not believe it, but, Jesus said that the same prevailingconditions would exist again in the last days, just before His coming back tothis earth. Just take a real good look at this worlds condition, and tell methat Christ didn't know what He was talking about.
You may shove this articleaside, thinking that I am a little on the nutty side, but nevertheless, youcan't deny that the very same conditions are existing today, as it did in thedays of Noah, and of Lot. The Bible reveals that the people in Noah's day wentright on with their "busy-as-a-bee" type of life, paying no attentionto the warnings of Noah. Look at the people when Lot told them to flee thecity. They would not believe what he said, but what happened when he left thecity? The Bible says that, the same day that Lot left, fire fell from heaven,and completely destroyed the entire city of Sodom. Are you aware of the factthat the city of Sodom was given over to the lust of the flesh, so that the menof that city burned with lust toward one another, that caused them to desirehomosexual acts between themselves? Look at the rise in homosexuality in theworld today. God destroyed Sodom and cities about it, for the same prevailingconditions. What do you think about the condition of the world today, with itslust filled greed? Do you think God will do nothing about it? When Noah and Lotbegan to preach to the people, telling them about what was about to happen, thepeople thought they were crazy lunatics, that had escaped from an insane asylum.What is your reaction, when you are told that Christ is soon to return to thisearth for the second time, to take His bride back with Him? Would you believeit, if I told you that the religious world of Christianity is so far from thetruth of God's word, that it's down right pathetic? Are you aware of the factthat, if you belong to some denomination organization, then you are part of asystem that has blasphemed the word of God, by their refusal to receive andobey the revealed truth of the gospel? Would you believe it if I told you thatthe great whore, spoken of in Revelations 17:5, is the Roman papicy, and the harlot daughters, are therest of the confessing groups that claim to be Christians? If you are a memberof any denominational organization, then you are one, that will suffer theplagues of God, when He begins to pour out His wrath upon this truth rejectingworld. The Bible tells you to come out from among them, if you do not want tosuffer these plagues. You are told in the word of God not to be partakers ofthe unfruitful works of darkness, but you are told rather, to reprove them. Youmay be one that will not accept this as being the truth, thinking that I am asa crazy as Noah was, that told the people that it was going to rain, when itnever had before. Did you know that Noah preached to the people, telling themto repent of their sins, when all the time the people thought that they were ofGod, and needed not to turn from their ways? Do you believe that you are atrue, born again, child of God, based on the fact that you belong to someorganization in your community? Will you believe it, if I tell you that thisreligious relam of Christianity, denies more than ninety percent of therevealed truth of the Bible? Are you aware of the fact that only eight peoplewere saved from the destruction of the flood? The people were so dead in sin,that they could not receive what Noah was preaching. The Bible reveals thatthere were false preachers, telling them that Noah was a nut, and did not knowwhat he was talking about. The people in Noah's day was deceived by the manyfalse prophets and teachers that was so many in number in those days. Falseprophets are all over the land today, telling the people that salvation isbelief on Christ, accepting Him as Lord and Saviour. This is not what the Biblereveals. You must live by every word of God, but if you belong to somedenominational church, then you are part of a group that denies the most of theword of God. I say this because, to believe on Christ as Lord and Saviour only,and failing to come to the knowledge of the truth that the gospel reveals, willcut you off from God, and you will never know the truth that the gospelcontains. The people in Noah's day were too busy to really care about theirspiritual condition as Almighty God saw them. This is true today also. Peopleare not concerned enough to know exactly where they stand with God. All theyseem to care about is that they belong to some church and they don't care whatthey teach. This condition is caused by Satan, that has kept them busy with thethings of this world, and keeping them from the truth that the gospel reveals.Satan has the minds of the people blinded from the revealed truth that will setthem free from the power of sin. He is accomplishing this through his ministersthat are void of the truth themselves. The Bible reveals that only eight peoplewere saved during the flood, and these people were Noah's family, which was hiswife, his sons, and their wives. According to the Bible, Noah was the onlyperson that found grace in the sight of God. The Bible tells us now, that thegrace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, it is up to you asan individual to accept the word of God, and to obey it. Jesus said that fewthere would be that would find the strait and narrow way that leads to life.Are you one of them??
